i got a 90 2wd 4 speed with ac its beat up good. im 6'5" 350 im too big for it i just kinda fit but the issue is my size 18 foot. i cant it the brakes without hitting on the high beams. part of me wants to sell the truck now that its rego in indy but part of me wants to keep it and drive the hell out of it.
My size 13 boots are a struggle in my new-to-me Hijet mini truck. There is a foot movement sequence I need to do when getting in and out. The Hijet has plenty of headroom (I'm 6'2") but it feels like I'm wearing the mini truck.
I received the 1/8" thick sheet of aluminum for my Hijet's custom battery cover today. The machining will be a lot simpler than the cool Japanese rising sun on your battery cover. I'm making the battery cover tall enough to hide and secure the battery but short enough that I can get jumper cables on the posts. I may powder coat the battery cover, but I'll probably just Monstaliner it with the rest of the truck which will have the tough bed liner inside and out. The Hijet is a fun project but I've been waiting over a month for clutch parts from Japan.
Hey there I saw the previous video were you got the enkeis and I had a question about your fitment with the tires Does it rub? I have 14x6 +35 offset and it's so much closer then the 14x7 +19 on your acty
@@insaneimports_official ahh that makes sense. Would swapping the engine make it safer for use on the highway? Like was theirs able to drive on the highway?
I don’t have a good answer besides drive on highway at your own risk. I’ve done it dozens of times but avoid it when possible. The thing is small and the wind from semi trucks rocks it around a bit. There is nothing in the front end to protect you in a crash.

It can be driven on the highway but it’s sketchy and tops out at like 65. It was a 3 hour drive so trailering was the best option. 😁
