- Vermont Gold Panning the Pay-Streak. I believe I will find a half ounce of gold in this location. Chasing the pay-streak provides more gold in a day on a regular basis than any other location on the river. Nugget hunting is very rewarding but normally you have to remove much more overburden before you hit the pay-dirt.
Wow that's some good color brother
Hey Matt, sorry I missed your comment. You can dig with a shovel in NH as well as VT. In NH's White Mountain National Forest, there is an article stating restrictions to crevicing & scooping gravels up with a pan. But you can use a sluice of up to 3'. Ridiculous rule & I don't know anyone who pans for gold without using a shovel. Plenty of places to pan for gold outside of the WMNF though.
Super nice gold! Camp out on that spot, lol.
Thanks Jeff, I will have to try that.
Hey YGP, if you hold a magnifying glass right up to your camera lens it lets you take much closer videos and pictures. I use an old lens from a broken pair of binoculars.
We want to see as much of that gold as we can!
Unfortunately we can't use a dredge in Vermont. Sluicing is by permit only & is a bit challenging to obtain. I do like the looks of the 3M nomad mat. I need to pick some up for my dredge.
Thanks Jeff.
Just search, gold prospecting in VT. You should see articles with lists of streams. Hopefully some in the area you are in.
First off nice gold! Now I know you can only pretty much pan in Vermont, but can you use a shovel to dig? Over here in NH its digging with a pan only : /.
Wow amazing. Any spots you might suggest in southern vt?
This says new upload, but uploaded on July 1. Where's the new stuff? :)
Hi can you make another video of your hydroforce thanx.
