Since you really like these attacking games, have you thought of possibly looking at some interesting gambits? Something like Nakmahanson or Urusov gambit are dubious but make for fun games
A couple of instances of your first thought being the actual best move and then you end up refuting yourself and going for something else. 😅 Happens to me a lot as well. Always hate seeing these moments in game review.
