Thanks for covering the PVP aspect of the game turtle, please keep it up, also keep in mind pvp is more than just PA cryo vs PA cryo - though its the meta, there are other ways of pvping.
I actually liked PvP in Fallout 76 when the game first came out. It actually felt like a totally different game just being able to kill openly. But I just feel PvP may never be as Bethesda intended.

To my experience you also need sentinels to your pieces,also stealth boys are a must.
On PlayStation my buddies and I used to pvp at pricketts fort. However, it was stealth commando only. We also used to do melee pvp. I’ve done the power armor/spam aid pvp and didn’t like it as much. It was still fun, but you would run into a lot of salty people. At the end of the day it seemed like it was a battle of who could put spam aid the other. Got expensive.😂

I have no desire to PvP, but the stream did get me to wonder about a few things. Would Slug Buster flamer with Pulse Capacitor be good since it's supposed to drain Fusion Cores? Also, even though it would be very fragile, would Mistress of Mysteries items be useful? Like the Eye of Ra makes the Blade of Bastet have 100% armor penetration; would this affect grenades? Also, would it allow you to be in stealth for longer with Phantom Device. Lastly, if you use Light Footed, it might help with tricking people with Pulse Mines without triggering them yourself
Edit: also, the Voice of Set will do energy damage and has a chance to stun for 1 second
the slug buster is absolutely garbage for pvp, even if you mod it out to be good for pvp, the only good thing on that weapon is the AA. TS with FFR and a beam splitter is the most effective way to drain cores atm.

That's not a bad build at all to be honest,for me pvp was killed off about 6 updates ago, when full HP didn't die. Not even with legacies it was hard to kill full hp people
I am one of those players, haha. I frequently get called a stacker and I don't use quantums, even though I carry them. Only use them to tank people stealth breaking.
Facts
Quantum’s are weird to me expensive when you can get Ap Regen and assassins armor and just use super stims imo they are better most people I meet don’t kill ne when using 1-3 supers they are cheap to buy 40-60 caps a price I carry around 300 at a time lol
Not to mention they weigh less if I recall correctly
I also have a lob Tesla that gets really nasty with strangler heart it's a quad so I just surround them with an electric mine field that poisons and it's a quad so I can cover a large area. Trainsaw still more effective Lobber is to instill panic mostly and it's rarity makes it a weapon lots of players have never seen in action but it's not nearly as effective as the Trainsaw. The drill is good for thorn and strangler build as well. Less DMG but it hits faster so the poison woul help to flood too much DMG to survive. There's way more but I am nodding off.
i haven't played in a long time. last time i played, the stranglerheart acid damage made the animation but didnt apply any damage. did they fix it or am i just having a skill issue?
So glad to see some PvP content from you! This may be outdated knowledge as i use to play on ps4 and ive only recently joined the pc pvp community but taking one for the team didnt work in pvp so i doubt it works now, colas stack up to 3 and you can use multiple types, pop three of each every like 5-6 seconds, staggers temporarily remove sentinel effect, and 99% of the time people will never die so welcome to fo76 PVP! wish theyd nerf or remove colas and give pa a stimpack animation. Looking forward to more content like this!
99% in endgame pvp, also if you ever get the chance to vats someone in pvp check their stats with awareness
Im curious if you have empath mutation and your on the same team with someone you are fighting in pvp, do they still get damage resistance agaisnt your shots?
For the main pvp people today, it all comes down to a resource battle. If you run full set of Assassins armor, full health build and a good carnivore food build, you’re near unkillable. I could put on a random rolled set of assassins excavator with a good food build and tank all weapons. PvP is at a weird place at the moment
Running follow through isn’t the best idea. In pvp sentinel is your biggest damage reducer and when you crouch to get those sneak attacks your sentinel isn’t working you will be killed very quickly if you crouch a lot in pvp

Unfortunately there used to be a decent sized PvP community around a few thousand or so but most have stopped playing for lack of support/content.
I think secret agent is pretty much a must have for PvP.

Strangl her heart is only used lol if you’re using some thing like the pepper shaker, I mean any shock I’ll do it but the pepper shaker is the best at it. I mean you can stack of 16 poisons for every shot and while it’s only during you know until the next shot hits it’s still 16 poison Techs, right so strangler really only matters with the multi shot weapons and to be fair you do understand you can still use a explosive mini gun, right? It does sort of limit your rod build a little bit because you have to put weight reduction for the ammo into strength but you know foundation vengeance is a God role bloodied, explosive mini Gun.
yo bro you've already run into the reason why pvp in fo76 needs a look from the devs, you mentioned it early on in your video. You can survive no problem, but you can't kill.
Defense is way OP in pvp especially with an "endgame" setup.
I would suggest to you an experiment. Make a fresh new character, level to 30. Any build you want, any items but with 1 restriction: you can ONLY use 1* gear.
Get a few people to join you in this, and then pvp each other for funsies. lvl 30, 1* gear.
You will find a TOTALLY different pvp experience than you will with the PA/Cryo meta endgame battles of attrition that come down to who runs out of aid first.
You have a LOT of clout Angry Turtle. A huge audience. If endgame pvp was balanced similarly to low/mid level pvp it would be AMAZING but it will never happen without a push from influencers like you that actually care. I'd love to pop onto discourd sometime to chat if you are interested in a deeper discussion but I will just leave you with this:
Low/mid level pvp in this game is amazing. Endgame pvp especially with the ocean of duped assassin/sent pa floating around is cancer. But it wouldn't be hard to cure the cancer, and make a few tweaks to pvp if only Bethesda cared. The community won't push this on it's own but maybe with the help of people that love fo76 like you, it can be vastly improved and become something other than "just another shooter" ie cod in a fallout skin.
I agree. I have way more fun on my low level (15-30) PvP characters.
low level pvp is busted, use a low level against people unironically and if you aren't a poopnoob you won't die
Turtle have you looked at a Quad Gamma Gun for PVP ? It used to be brutal.

I use Assassin’s Hellcat PA, Assassin’s Flamer with 25% FF with a long barrel and Stealthboy’s for when they come back for revenge. I don’t play for PVP it’s just on me in case. Specially for “low levels” with Enclave Flamers lol.

They should remove all vats thing in pvp and could add some arena types pvp. Like 2v2 or 3v3.
Just use NW as a blueprint for pvp balance and make a queue in arena/daily opps sized maps.
It used to be 4v4 if one of your team mate's aggro another person's teammate it was game on....when strangler was introduced it got fixed quickly
Plenty of builds you will never kill without vats.
Its a jumping Cryolator battle, I must say it does look kind of fun though. Why does VATS work sometimes on other players? I saw a guy using the snowball mod and VATS on a different video.

I will say, you are learning faster than most, with all the knowledge being thrown at you, an the few encounters you have had with me an others, each an everytime you gain knowledge, what food buffs to use, magazines, chems an alcohol I'm sure you already know by now. What weapons to use, an knowing the only ways to kill other players. You know it all now. An I'm sooo glad you can shed light on it for all of us in the pvp community. An hope that some day things will change, an make it more balanced if possible. Well done Mr Turtle.

@@TheGlowingOnee There are still other forms of pvp still not just pa cryo (spamming quantum's) meta version, there is melee as well, handmade, grenade launcher you know basically NW type pvp, again I wish they would have kept it on PC but I understand the cheaters/scripters made it unplayable. But that type of pvp is still used by people that aren't all about sweating for just one kill then for both sides to call it.
Also you cant spam quantum's like you use to be able to. You get capped at how many actually work, which is around 5. An people can barely do damage as it is to people in PA using energy base weapons. You can out heal it with stims (no animation in PA) or pop a single quantum. If you find yourself using more than 2-3 then your build is all wrong.

@@TheGlowingOnee Honestly, having good endurance, I fight bloodied, an I want to be as tanky as possible while low health, an honestly being bloodied is more tanky than full health cause you heal much faster, an also dishing out alot of damage as well.
But to answer your actual question, your perks should be focused on Endurance so perks like life giver, cola nut, radicool, fireproof, nocturnal fortitude for fighting at night, HP boost by 40, then during the day solar powered. I normally have those shared to me, when im doing 1v1's. There soooo much that goes into a build, so i'll probably make a video myself explaining what i use, although you can easily find videos all over. With different opinions.

I use a build I like to call the Trainsaw. I rely on Pain Train, a chainsaw because you can run it while sprinting so the stagger from pain train stops there movement and the chainsaw hits so fast with physical and burn DMG also I use vats to charge directly at my opponent and Hack and Slash causes explosion DMG as well. Having Power sprinter with Power User along with full charge as well as squad maneuvers and max endurance I can run very fast in PA this way and for a very long time. If you're a chump who like the to cheapshot by vats crit the pulse grenade near the opponent that's a guaranteed kill even a full health stacker can't take it because the vats crit is a 90% kill rate but translating the vats crit through the pulse grenade gives it the effects of both. Perfect quantum spamming is the only way if you are at the edge of the blast and on the ground if you jump it's much more damaging for some reason. I could go on but I feel it's too much. PVP is boring and not challenging now. Something about the Explosive Gatling Plasmas ability to end a fight over one wrong move was exhilarating. The threat of instant death at any time made PVP thrilling. Now I just walk on players because they can't crush me like I can them 90% of the time. Also strangler heart PVPers are trash in my opinion. I mean you get credit for the kill but it's your armor because it cuts your targets poison resistance and when stacked you get two poison effects and that cuts a max Funky Duds down to almost nothing. No offense about the strangler user comment btw. It's a viable strategy. But you need to use escape artist so you can get back into stealth continuously while fighting that would reset the effects of follow through and taking one for the team potentially as well. You could combine the Trainsaw, Tesla coils chest mod and the strangler set poison along with a flaming chainsaw that many damage types just from attacking up close is a very efficient setup. Also I only use incisor and martial artist for damage and I eat most people alive the slugger perks would be beneficial but unnecessary

Does the strangler perks work in PvE? I haven't seen the power armour perks work from what I've seen

You should really run both funky duds and sizzling style in pvp even with fire proof and any armor additives the sizzling style affects more than just fire from player attacks

What about a crit transfer? Like vats to a pulse grenade with a tse the dragon. The critical damage from the dragon should transfer to the pulse grenade and possibly one shot a player?

U are welcome for the cryolators, FED is always here to help if needed, its very important to pick funky dudes always, cuz this meta is propably always starngler heart which is dealing much posion dmg with any weapon, i personally use both fire resistance and poison resistance, first weapons that pvp players are trying is cryolator or flamer so fire resistance is high priority as much as poison resistance for strangler heart. Its very good to have some assassin/cryo resistance parts on power armour.

i see 1 card missing in charisma that is must have in pvp for me : field surgeon when you play lowhp, players use also power armor reboot on legendary perks and funky duds needed, crio resistanse only like a star on armor, dont use marines armor, try thorn armor becouse like energy bleed also kills pvp guick
As someone who pvps often I can tell you that almost all weapons are useless. Most pvpers nowadays stack duped armor sets and so there's no other way to kill them without using pulse grenades or breaking their stealth and using vats crits. Even if you bloodied yourself the damage you output is a lot greater but the risk of dying is also greater too which makes low hp not worth it unless you exploit stacked armor in which then people will find out you're armor stacking if they use awareness on you.
learned the hard way that low hp and no pa sucks in pvp, that being said im two weeks into the game got myw ultracite pa ready just need to get my build straight since i went non pa at first
Melee having to close the distance to do damafe in PVP is a justification to buff melee back to where it was years ago. I used to be able to PVP with a power fist
Just letting you know Turtle, pulse grenades will not work against Full Hp builds…the only builds it work against is bloodied builds and you need to Critical hit and destroy the grenade so it can be effective, but be careful because sometimes it’s so powerful that you can kill yourself with it.
they do work, you can crit them with an explosive weapon overlapping the splash damage with a character to perform a crit transfer and oneshot up to certain hps. any nade works
Why don't you use empath mutation, if you are on a team while PVP?
As far as I know from your video and some threads on reddit, you will be even tankier with this mutation if you are on a team because this damage mitigation apllies for you as well.
Of course, it can be little unstable. Maybe this is the main reason not to use it...For example, if every player from your team leaves the team while you are in fight, it will be very bad. However, are there any other reasons not to use it?
it was patched and no longer provides benefits to yourself

@@AngryTurtle I will be happy to see the results! This mutation is a very tricky one. I use Empath for some weeks and it really feels like I'm tankier with it. Maybe I just convince myself but maybe it really works. I'm too lazy to test it by myself, though. Even if there were only disadvantages for me, I would still use it because I'm running low-hp PA build with CF (3) and some extra damage doesn't really matter to me.

Explosive perks are not needed no explosive weapon does enough damage to kill also I strongly recommend you look into pulse grenade because they go through all defense do to the debuff it applies and can instantly kill most bloodied builds. over all your build is pretty good though
Explosive perk helps the pulse grenade damage so there's that.
@@julygoose2753 it increases the explosion but not the effect it applies and that's what does 99% of the damage
Well I am certainly to lazy to do all that just to pvp. My build is not pvp ready but does ok when I do try. I have no time for food build stuff just to stay alive for just caps, most veterans stash there junk. I do have a low level that I just try to pvp with, which I find more fun and battles can last longer. I remember back when u fought lorespade that was fun to watch.

C:all the above! It takes bonuses from heavy perks and shotgun perks 👍
You can get the plan from the seasonal meat week event. It’s a tradeable plan and weapon.
Chem fiend/revenant is also useless. You need more charisma for Suppressor and field surgeon. If you ever go down in pvp, you will thirsted. Adrenaline is also only useful for team fights again. Also, grenades are not that good, even if critted with high base DMG instigating weapons. You're also using good with salt, which is useless. I use rank 2 cuz I use a refrigerated backpack. Your entire set up will drop instantly against someone who knows what they're doing.
Suppressor is useless asf I already tested it.. it cancels out tenderizers damage boost
Trying to brush up on pvp for dealing with griefers but frankly I get the feeling the hackers gravitate to pvp and there are no tips to counter that.

@@AngryTurtle I use agility intelligence charisma and endurance funky duds if I am fighting some one with a flamer I will use a flame card but otherwise I use pa reboot or taking one for the team
I hope you don't get addicted to PVP from here on out. It would be cool to see the realtime calculations the game has to do with all these buffs.

Turtle power armor or no power armor it’s all the same thing you have to spec for as stealth boys I can’t think what the first part is but you have to spec so you get the most out of your stealth boys because without stealth boys you’re getting Vance Vance when somebody that’s great you big, nor all of your damage reduction, whether it’s from assassins or power armor, damage, reduction, or or dodgy or anything all your damage reduction gets ignored And if you’re not stealth, they’re going to Vance you once you’re in a fight with someone with your Crowdstar not they congrats you and there are other ways to ignore damage reduction to the unarmored self Pantaya armor aspect you’re mostly going to be using heavy guns in PVP so you’ve got stabilized if you’re out of power armor, you need anti-armor weapons but anyway you look at it You can have massive damage reduction that won’t matter. If they can Vance they can vets and do a credit on you and they’re set up to do it say I can’t spell commando, able to create every other shot and you let them credit you three or four shots, your dad 110 damaged shot going to be dad because you’re not gonna resist or reduce much at all you’re going to die and in so it doesn’t matter whether you’re in or out of power armor it’s not about your resistance is your damage reduction, it is really literally about not being seen that’s what so screwed up about actual PVP add friendly PVP where are you establish rules what the troop be in this game when somebody is not winning with traditional method stay resort to stealthing and it’s really not about your guns. Are your gear or or anything? It’s about how many Quantoms you have and how many stealth boys you haveH
Vats and consumables ruin pvp tbh, the most fun fights typically dont involves some strange looking quantum spam firework show. That being said I have gotten a lot of entertainment going after the people with 5000 bounty and 1 shotting them with a dragon. Also apparently there is a glitch involving load screens where people using stealth boys no longer appear invisible, not entirely sure how to do it but I have had some people msg me over it.
People that do pvp onbthis game now really need a new game or hobby or something its not worth it

@Julian_ich there are a few folk like myself who can definitely survive that 100% if it's in goose's hands. i'm not saying people can't kill anyone with vats headshots, i'm specifically saying goose cannot put out the damage to kill anyone who knows how to pvp with his current set up.
Run funky duds and sizzling style
Turtle you also don’t need quantum‘s OK the best healing well your plan bloody till graveside the question but to be fair not a lot of actual Pvpers play blooded they mostly play full health with jet packs. They pop lots of Quantoms but nucha cola grapes are also incredible I believe a 1200 rd remove 400 health added in like 150 a P for each one and if you’re trying to play legitimate and not buy quantum‘s your nucha cola in collectRon will generate a fair amount of grapes and cherries and whatever nucha product you use generally speaking, they all add a P and health and they don’t add rats not that that matters to a Fuller Health Ralph, but they they all add AP and health in pretty fair amounts and they all stack oranges. For instance, which ever one gives your rat resistant stacks to repair most of the low health Pvpers I see are not in power armor there’s stealthing or at least trying to they’re using stealth boys to stay invisible on speaker round we’re attempting to make full use of Assassins, armor and some of the best Pvpers I’ve ever watched videos of you :-) in assassin, regular assassins, armor, while at low health, taking advantage of serendipity, lone wanderer, you know damage reduction stuff because that’s a Pvpers. They know how to approach every situation to kind of break the rule set personally, I never thought if that interesting in fallout to try because fallout PVP is just shit.
Why not use Union armor it gives u poison protection?
He needs to use the strangler heart because it has a poison effect that works well with the single barrel pepper shaker to damage players. Outside of pvp union is better.

Your right no skill at all vats is easy but if it takes no skill why does 99% of the community suck at it and I get called racial slurs everytime I pvp someone and kill them the Pve community in 76 is toxic and talks a lot of smack while not backing up any words with their actions in game I have shot at people on accident and have been called a Moron not even attempting to pvp at the time and again racial slurs ect ect see the small pvp player base 76 has talks smack but 99% I met has never been as toxic then the Pve racists and rage induced people I have met it’s wild that people in a game where they can press a button to turn pvp off will get so upset press 1 button simple but they rather complain and cry and be racists touch grass snd go to anger management lol

Hey turtle , little advice from someone who has 300 and more hours in pvp...try to use with the strangler heart a TS25ffr pepper with 3 formula P , that makes the difference 😁👍
Nocturnal fortitude and curator? Instead of curator why not ricochet? Seems more useful, and when farming for bobbleheads just do pve with curator.

Quantums are for hp, not ap... The quantum ap is instant, which is bad. Use coffee, nuka candy, sugar bombs, honey... Anything that does ap over time is key.

With the correct build you are almost impossible to kill and can kill enemies in seconds
The only successful method I have used is help someone defend a workshop, once they have it, engage in PvP by taking over workshop and shoot them... Alot.

All PvP means to me is jumping up as high as possible while flooding your opponent with as much firepower as possible. That’s it as far the actual fighting mechanics go & is so boring. I would have thought that hunting out & killing your opponent in an area would be far better of an experience than jumping up & down?
That’s why PvP in FO76 is something that does nothing for me. I wish it were more exciting & then I would consider it.

what you see and damage numbers it's all just bs estimation and not actual damage, they see me at 0 health as well even when I'm barely taking any dmg

bloodied is actually kinda bad in pvp. the pvp meta is about tanking as much damage as you can while still being able to hurt people. its more focused on tanking than damaging because damage is capped at 110 per shot. its really NOT easy to be survivable. you actually WILL DIE ALMOST INSTANTLY with JUST assasins armor. but yes combining follow through and taking one for the team WILL help you hit damage cap. also understanding damage types helps. so its good that you have a cryolater because cryo IS currently the most broken damage type in pvp , but bleed damage is true damage so an unarmed build with thorn armor can be SUPER STRONG and energy weapons can be really strong as well, however any ballistic weapon you use in pvp should be explosive. dont forget that explosive resistance is also important because of that. it actually IS still good. because an explosive 50 cal will still rip through your armor. thats why all my buids are either AAffr or AAE users, or just straight up junkies builds.
