Awesome, I was around in the 60s, my gran lived in Maesycoed then, I had no idea, the town centre was so extensively rebuilt. It looks like a bomb site in parts. Why was it done. Who remembers Sardis Rd, when it was a dead end with a car park, u had to walk up a path to get to Maesycoed....

The building with a cross on it at 3:32 was the church building my dad pastored in the early 60's. Pontypridd Christian Fellowship was the name of it I think. The large parking lot around the church used to be the homing spot for a Roma family which would park their traditional 'caravan' there at times. I remember the flood of 1960 when that whole parking lot and the basement of the church building was flooded out. The photography shop at 3 minutes was owned by a family friend, a one armed photographer named Ivor Alderson. He moved into that location in the very early 60's from his previous studio which was up near the old bridge. Who was the photographer in these films?

It's funny how history repeats, at 5:15, pile of rubble looks like that now in 2017 as they have finally demolished the basement of the old precint

acapulco ramon, this was the 60's, Tom Jones had already made it big then so he would have moved from the area.
