I've played violin for 10+ years since I was 4. I quit abruptly a couple of years ago because of extreme depression. I haven't touched a violin in years, but the sound of strings still makes me emotional and I love it to this day. My favorite music to listen to is EDM, and porter Robinson is my favorite. Having strings in EDM music just makes it astronomically better. Now a cover of one of my favorite songs in strings... ♥️♥️♥️
Some may say that this sound is sad. But for me this is a neutral feeling that everyone has. That feeling you are so used to. So mysteriously happy and refreshing in a way. Or is it just me that feel this way about this type of music? I love it though.

TW: NEGATIVITY, SELF-HARM, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS lately, it feels like verything has been so bad. i've hurt many people, my emotions keep getting in control of me, ive been getting frustrated and mad over the smallest things, and the urge to self-harm/commit suicide has become harder to control. a few nights ago, i was in bed and i got so mad. mad at me, mad at how i couldnt express what i truly feel in words, mad at my parents, mad at the world, mad at everything. i started scratching my arms. it hurt, i didnt like it, but i kept going because of the satisfaction it gave me. i need help, i know that, but ik my mom will make me open up to her instead of a pyschiatrist. she wouldn't understand though, i know she wouldnt. it happened once in fifth grade (i was going through the angsty teen phase, but its very much real now). i vented to a teacher, said i wanted to die, she reported me to the office, my parents got contacted, went to two therapy sessions, and idk how to explain this but my mom uses the "you have everything, so how can you be sad. kids in the philippines have almost nothing, but they live happy lives" excuse. sigh, i dont want to die :( i really don't, but sometimes it gets to the point where its just..too much for a sensitive 13 year old to handle anyways, thank you for taking time to read this, i hope you have a wonderful day/evening
