      That is because sheep think there is some sort of law that requires them to give two weeks notice. Your company "wanting" two weeks notice is not legally binding as you are considered an "At-Will" employee in the USA, with the exception of Montana. Being an "At -Will" employee is also the reason they are able to fire you or lay you off without notice and without cause. If you had a legally binding contract with the company, such as a Union or a personal agreement you signed, the terms and conditions would most likely be written into the contract.

    • @Al-xb9fo
      @Al-xb9fo 27 дней назад

      @@timg2973 it can be literally written in the union contract that a company will not and can not have lay offs! Depending on what is negotiated. People that worked at nummi before Tesla took over the plant in Fremont were union and were paid a fair wage. That’s what unions do! Fight and negotiate for its workers so they could live near the plant instead of having to live in Modesto or somewhere in the valley and have to commute to Fremont. I have friends also that work for Google, Meta, Tesla since they are considered tech companies, I see why they are not unions and incentivize its workers with stock options. I’m happy your sis still has her shares, she might need them now or in the future with all the lay offs.
      And on a side note: ( A lot of construction jobs that are union, fire, police, IBEW all union jobs that pay $50/hr to $100/hr) that’s why Musk is against them! But what do I care I don’t work for Tesla!

It can be vey difficult to run a profitable business and there are many challenges that are unknown to the employees. There were times when first starting in my business, I had to borrow money to make payroll. There were times I couldn’t pay my mortgage. You do everything to help your employees, then, when you have to lay someone off, you’re an evil person, or you’re stupid, or you don’t know how to run a business. So I say, go start your own business.
