26:54 "I carry it if I'm leaving the house anywhere; I might need it to save somebody's life" This alone shows how good a person you are, Dave!
    Very informative video, as always.

Excellent informative Video Dave, I'm a Paramedic and although i dont go on Mountain Trips like you, i still go out for day mountain walks and wild camp, i have a first aid kit, however after watching this it definitely needs upgrading, " by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail" keep up the good work.

I'm going to re-do my emergency bags, thanks! I too had a tooth emergency while traveling and it's the most underestimated crisis going. I had a tooth shear off at such a sharp angle that I could not even drink water because any movement shredded my mouth. I ended up using a nail file to sand down the tooth so that I could at least drink protein heavy liquids until I reached a dentist. I recommend everyone adding a nail file as it takes no space and weights nothing.

This video will probably save a life! Thanks for that. I would probably use little different medications, but that might be because germany has little other "go to" stuff.
I think the most important thing here is spreading awareness of what to think about. There can happen so much more than a scratch or a broken foot.
    Thanks again.

Hiya Dave. Love the info in this video, and I rreeeaaallly hope it I'm ever seriously hurt in the woods that YOU come walking around the bend! Seriously, everyone who is in any situation where medical help is more than a few minutes away should follow your advice offered here to the letter.

My kit is tweezers for removing ticks and couple of bandages. My nature is close to cities and there is no big danger like hiking alone in mountain wilderness 🌿

If an ambulance isn't within 5 minutes big bleed kit is recommended

Aspirin, Aleve & Ibuprofen shouldn't be taken if you are in pain & have a bleed since they thin the blood. Tylenol is best in that situation. Great points on pre-made 1st aid kits. I am not sure about Gorilla glue, but if Knolls says it is good then I will not disagree. Well done.

Thanks! Notice I didn't give any recommendations for what should be done in the video. Only gear & my personal choices. Black and white never exists in the wilderness first aid scenario. Memorization removes problem solving and kills people. Every individual has to be taught to make individual choices based on their assessment of the situation. Glad you liked the video!
