9:18 & at 21:04...The Emergency Trauma Dressings (ETD) are actually pressure dressings not compressed gauze. They are used after packing a wound that presents with uncontrolled bleeding. These dressings are designed to replace the pressure that you would be applying with your hand on initial contact.

    Excellent Points:
Hemorrhage control is about pressure NOT absorption
    Goal is stabilization NOT treatment
    Sterility is secondary to stabilization
Glucose - Too much okay, Too little deadly
I think it could use a little more clarification of pulse as an indicator of hypovolemia and perhaps clear indications for the use of a nasal airway.
    As always, pragmatic and useful!

Thanks, Chris and Michael for all the time you put into putting the 3 in 1 med kit together. It’s a great asset for everyone around when out adventuring.

Great overview! Will check mine to align a bit with this list. Cannot stress to get trained enough! As someone who has led hikes into the backcountry and trained others for wilderness survival look into Wilderness First Responder training or even Red Cross Wilderness First Aid training.

I absolutely loved this video when it came out and I immediately put together the same kit with the items I already had. Just today, I re-watched this video as a means to go through my kit to get re-acquainted with the contents, examine the integrity, and look for anything missing. My nasopharyngeal airway was discolored/damaged due to a broken package - will be ordering a new one. Check the batteries in the pulse-oximeter. Checked the ink to the black sharpie for the CAT tourniquet. I will be adding more 5x7 ABD dressings to the trauma section, as well as a second mylar blanket, and add a rite-in-the-rain notepad and space pen to the admin pouch. My disposable penlight (for checking pupil reaction) was dim and will be replacing it and also adding a small flashlight. I also checked the expiration dates to the OTC meds - most need to be replaced and noted there is plenty of room to add different meds. I can't say enough good things on how Chris and Michael put together this kit. As a former EMT, I can really appreciate the emphasis on organization and stocking the proper quantity of items. My deepest respect guys.

These are great videos and very relevant. I am pretty new to overlading, and I am very iteresseted in your community, the discounts on gear....and much more.... However I live in Denmark (europe) - would I be able to buy gear like the trauma kit, or is that only possible within the US?

Thanks! Very helpful. I keep a kit in my Jeep, but I run into things expiring. I need to get the kit out and redo it every year.
The question I have is What do you recommend to find a local source that teaches CPR and basic training for a kit like that?
