Very nice project Todd, they were a lot of nice insight on doing a rotary job. It's funny because my CNC is actually carving several rotary snowmen and Santas. The video on how I did those will be in December
Can you please do a tutorial on how to do an offset adjustment while using a laser? I've done the line test and can see the adjustments I need to make but don't know how to do so. A laser line box test and adjustment tutorial would be great. Thank you.
Hello, and thanks for the comment. Actually we will be having a rotary expert giving a talk at our 2024 User Group Meeting in Austin Texas, next month... so that would be a great spot to be. If that does not work for you then we will have his talk available after the event... keep your eye peeled here - ugm.vectric.com/
Sure can, you just need to unwrap it, if you have VCarve Pro, or if you have Aspire you can create your own. Here is a link to a few videos that might help - www.vectric.com/support/tutorials/aspire/?search=Rotary
I can't ever get tech support to answer me back. Have you heard of anyone having trouble with aspire after the update to version 12. Since I've updated I can't cut profiles and have it follows the correct number of passes or the depth I have it set for.
Hello Bernie... if you send an email off to support@vectric.com they can give you a hand. I mentioned your comment to them so they will ne keeping an eye out. :)
All you showed us was that the machine can follow directions not how the machine gets the information. Wow we all know it can cut wood and a few other metals extra stuff. But what are the direction that cause the machine to cut?

I thanks for that Paul... they were fun to make and I really like the way they look. Would fit perfectly on a nice chunky table during the holidays!
Thanks for this…. I got my rotary out of storage and will be making the candle holders for the ladies in my family for Christmas this year.
Fantastic!!! So nice to hear! :)

What rotary are you guys using. I wanna get one for my cnc
Ours came with the ShopBot, but most CNC manufactures have their own version available.
Can a rotary attachment on a 3-axis CNC router also profile any other shape other then round?
