Pretty ingenious to add vitamins to the bullion. My question Is, won't heat kill them off? I know cooking vegetables longer kills off vutamins-the longer cooked, the less vitamins are in them. I'm sure a genius like Bill Gates and his teams of scientists know a hell of a lot more than lil ole me, HA, but I'm curious about how long the bullion vitamins hold up. I toured the Kellogg's factory in Battlecreek, MI (😢 it's no longer there) back in its heyday (around 2000-2002?) and I learned that all vitamin fortified food like cereal goes down a conveyor and they spray coat it, so I'm guessing that's what they're doing with the bullion. And yes, I'm sure it's not much $ so that's wonderful to ensure the children around the globe get the vital nutrients needed to grow in more healthy ways. A strong foundation helps stave off future issues.

Folic acid in Marmite was saving their lives as well as B1 and B2. They didn't know it was the Folic acid at the time, they just new something in it was helping the women.
I found it very interesting that the cycle of malnutrition is something that may begin before birth. I also find it sad that a lot of this falls on our food manufacturing. Corporate greed needs to be brought more into the public eye.
How about giving out FREE BIRTH CONTROL TO EVERY PERSON WHO WANTS IT!!! Seriously, women know when they can't afford children. (I can't afford children). If you "can't afford to buy a flavorful diet" maybe I can't afford to have children at all. I can't afford children at all. Give women free birth control if they want it.
Alfalfa actually translates from Persian to English to mean mother of all foods. Centuries ago camel trains across the desert kept camels healthy on the trip but humans suffered and died. When they realized alfalfa had the nutrients to keep you alive it was a new era. Alfalfa's tap root grows 50 to 100 feet deep this extracting all the deep earth nutrients. Red cabbage is another super good super star. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Got Nutrients Ya'll?

His personality may be a little "rough around the edges" but there is no doubt that he is trying to save the human race.
Nice in theory. But in actuality his system keeps making soil bad, which makes the food less nutritional. So he goes around adding to the food. This is bad. We need to do what works. Local organic farming with compostinng. This is actualy saving the soil nuutrition for future generations. That can grow their own foods without relyi g on companies for to give them chemicaly inhanced soil and foods that are manufacturec for nutrition. Vandadashiva knows this and has been working in india for decades. Sadgure also knows this and has worked miracles with ,save the soil.
Please clarify how adding vitamins to bullion depletes the soil, “his system”. He isn’t growing anything. Yes, nutrients are better when they come from fresh food, but providing nutrients as he describes is effective and far less costly.
@@juliebrocklehurst-woods5247 The vitamins are a temporary solution. Promoting local, sustainable agriculture is better in the long run and make the people less dependent. All over the world, huge permaculture projects are changing lives in a sustainable way. The gates foundation promotes monoculture agriculture and GMO seed- - both are really bad for the environment. See the 'Loess Plateau Restoration Project' where a desert the size of Belgium was restored; or, see the Paani Water Cup Challenge in 'India's Water Revolution' where 145 billion gallons of water have been stored over 4 years; or see what's happening in he middle east where 'Greening the Desert' projects have been successful for a decade.
duh...the vitamins are meant to supplement in the interim. Because as he says, without them many of them don't even live to be 5 years old. We probably need those bullions in the poverty belt of the United States or added to the Top Ramen.
Unfortunately there are large groups of people who don't have access to the resources needed for organic farming and composting. Granted there are major issues with the soil, but this has been a problem long before Bill Gates got involved. What he is providing is a bandaid that can help more people survive while we deal with the problems created by all of the poor farming practices that brought us to this point.
All good points here. This nutritional supplement is well intended but doesn't address underlying causes of malnutrition. Colbert raised a key concern about supply chain interruption for food. How will it be any different for getting supplements to vulnerable people?
Billionaires are poverty traps. No billionaires, no poverty. It is called wealth distribution and it is never been so unbalanced. If you think I am wrong, you are also the problem.
His heart seems in the right place (although if he's into health, I'm surprised he was eating a hot dog). In any case, it will be great when the day comes when all food is grown in healthy soil and there's not a horrible poverty problem. Fortifying food is a good, if temporary. band-aid to a larger problem.
In the Venn diagram of the economic growth and immigration, Springfield tells us everything we need to know. Bringing in immigrant workers was a solution for the towns’s industry. However, the influx of workers brought it pressure on the city’s infrastructure; schools, healthcare, and new needs of the population to ease integration. Who pays for that? Clearly the growing businesses benefited most. That’s what taxes are for! The state builds roads, and schools, that in the early days of the Industrial Revolution, had to be built by the new factory owners. That is at the core of “paying their fair share”. When towns started to compete to get businesses such as Amazon and Walmart into their towns, to grow jobs, they handed out tax breaks, and cash. So we, the taxpayers, began subsidising businesses in exchange for low paying jobs. Then they use Fox and friends to call out their own poor employees for needing support to get by. What is happening in Springfield, should have been shouldered by the businesses benefiting from growth. Instead, they let it play out and now cry wolf when their town is under attack. Make them start paying their fair share. Let’s all start doing the right thing. 🇺🇸🗳️💙🌊

Heard about this approach a decade or so back on CBS' 60 Minutes. The idea is to use something like Nutella with vitamins on a daily basis. Apparently, from field experience, it only takes a teaspoon or two per day of this concoction to be effective. And only for the first few years of life. The point about kids not getting these vitamins early on an then not able to ever catch up is well taken. A lesson learned, eh? Such information might be distributed world-wide.
Buillon soup alone is a great quick snack, especially if your sick or want a hot drink in the winter. Just need to work on the sodium amount. I would be a regular buyer if its packed with more nutrients.
Free school lunches would be a great thing in this country. It sucks that we have a system that shames/punishes kids for being born poor. Also fed kids focus more.
We need experts to debate this proposition. Personally, I don't see how artificially enhanced products can ever replace naturally grown food. The advertisement does not cite any global statistical evidence that naturally ingested products cause malnutrition. If such evidence exists, we need to specify where it is an issue and address it properly by improving or replacing those particular foods, rather than substituting them with lab-enhanced products. Do not allow yourselves to be used as a testing ground for innovations, as some of our leaders are blinded by alliances with foreign elites like Bill Gates. Poverty is our main issue, and we should address that with innovation, not by altering our diet. We are what we eat, and our food affects our entire body, including our brain and immune system, which is often considered stronger than that of our European counterparts. This innovation is a gamble, as it lacks a clear and concise record of its advantages beyond what Bill Gates and his fellow innovators claim. We all know he is not a biologist or a scientist. Let those who are experts in this field present the facts-clear, concise facts-to support this innovation. Even then, it should not be imposed politically on any country, as politics is driven by individuals with motives of greed and power, not by scientists or biologists who understand these issues. remember covid, remember the vaccines.
Cheap, easy to distribute and use diet fortifications are absolutely the first and most essential step in dealing with world hunger. It's very easy to get caught in the 'how to solve every issue" trap of compassion and end up stifling your own efforts.

Much much better than his former life!
I hope you are being sarcastic.
@@guyl9456 You'd have to be pretty young to not have an idea what a corporate monster he was when he ran Microsoft. And it was his ex wife that actually got him into philanthropy. I mean it's great he saw the light, absolutely. But it's staggering how naive people are about how he used to crush people. Both things are true.

Bill is prolife but in a real way.
I know that there are so many people that trash Bill Gates…for reasons that I cannot list.
But come on…the projects and goals that #BillGates as well as those of #TheBillandMelindaGatesFoundation have taken on are pretty amazing.
They are making a difference in the world..the whole world.
Personally, I’m doing a standing ovation…

He is not a good guy. This lunatic must be stopped at all costs. He is the real enemy of the free people. He is a globalist puppet who wants total control over your thoughts and actions. Wonder why he is buying up all farmland over USA and why is he so invested in healthcare and experimenting with all kinds of viruses and vaccines on people huh? And why did he went to Epstein Island so many times huh?
Class act Bill Gates - thanks for all your hard work !! Huge fan.
An Epstein buddy. His wife of years and years divorced him when the Epstein saga unfolded. His children don't speak to him. He sold his soul. He can't pretend to be human and get away with it.
bill gates needs to be prosecuted for crimes against humanity.
He's a good guy who's doing his best to do good things and anybody who says otherwise is talking out of their ass
Epstein Island, Compadre.
Just another monopolist.
that’s what she said
The vitamins in boullion is a great idea, but I can already see the pushback...
What, the micro chips? don't worry, those are only added to the bullion sold to Trump supporters.😁
I wonder if those vitamins are even in forms that are properly absorbed by the body
Eat the rich, without ketchup
Bill is so open person❤

How often does the billionaire Donald Trump think about
malnutrition?
you could have ended the question at "think"
"How often does the billionaire Donald Trump think about
malnutrition?" - all the time! He is thinking about when his next cheeseburger is due!
Every time he runs out of hamberders.
He loves Malcolm-trition in the middle - they should never have cancelled that show we love that show

Can we all just note that we are watching this mostly on Windows. Thank you so much Bill Gates. The real creator of our world today.
The bullion idea is brilliant! People who can't afford meat will buy seasoning/bullion.
Good morning stephen colbert fans
Need more billionaires like him.👏
Big bold and bouillon ideas! The creative and common sense approach is remarkable and inspiring! Thank you, Mr. Gates.
thanks for the show
Bouillon is a clever vector
I was just reading how Marmite was used to save lives in India, back in the 1930's. Women were dying of complications from anemia, particularly, pregnant women. Folic acid in Marmite was saving their lives as well as B1 and B2. They didn't know it was the Folic acid at the time, they just new something in it was helping the women.
Just mix with contaminated, toxic water.
I found it very interesting that the cycle of malnutrition is something that may begin before birth. I also find it sad that a lot of this falls on our food manufacturing. Corporate greed needs to be brought more into the public eye.
Soil quality is a problem in so many regions, so they cannot produce what is required to sustain
Never about his homie Jeffrey Epstein or the divorce.
Got Nutrients Ya'll?
Polar opposite of Elon Musk

No he isn't. He's just trying to use his ill-gotten wealth to try and buy a good reputation before he dies. He's an awful human being who ruined countless lives to get where he is. He's garbage.
You mean human, instead of inhumane 🤪
I may not agree with everything that Elon Musk says, but the man has taken it apon himself to basically force car companys to begin the move to electric and away from fossil fuels, revitalize the USA space program, and provide broadband internet access to millions who could not even dream of the day they could access information the way the rest of us do. His personality may be a little "rough around the edges" but there is no doubt that he is trying to save the human race.
Both Pirates, just different Parrots.
I'm into this bullion thing.
Gold life.
Yes tax 80 90 % on rich !
As an African, this man must stay as far away as possible from us
Yes he is devil in desguise.
Thank you Mr Gates
Organic gardening would help a lot for the world's nutrition
That picture of Jon Batiste immediately reminded me of Corbin Dallas and Ruby Rhod in _The Fifth Element._ 😁
Soil health Bill. It’s the soil.
Stop processing food and adding junk to it
Think of how Upper Volta went from desperation to full food self sufficiency in just four years under socialism.
Billionaires are poverty traps. No billionaires, no poverty. It is called wealth distribution and it is never been so unbalanced. If you think I am wrong, you are also the problem.
The real Anthony fauci
His heart seems in the right place (although if he's into health, I'm surprised he was eating a hot dog). In any case, it will be great when the day comes when all food is grown in healthy soil and there's not a horrible poverty problem. Fortifying food is a good, if temporary. band-aid to a larger problem.
Love Bill and the good he’s doing - clearly on the spectrum as most brilliant people are.

Bill, HELP WNC!!!! In anyway possible! Sorry so late. Just got service.
Fix the soil. Soil regeneration keeps the produce high in minerals and vitamins.
Tax the rich and tax more the uberrich. Don't give dog food to people. Improve income distribution and then you have the "magic wand".
when he scrapes the bouillon dust off the table like a pro cola enjoyer 😆
Infrastructure is key. We take advantage of places with no infrastructure. That's not good.
Hey, thank you, Mr. Gates. Thanks for trying to help us all.
This is humanism, the goal of which is to improve people's lives by using science to devise practical solutions to real world problems.
I was rooting for Colbert to ask the $138 billion dollar question, and he asked it!! Which was, with all your money, what's the hold-up on these initiatives? I was very impressed with Bill Gates' responses too. Very exciting stuff.
Why did his wife divorce him again?
Vitamin soup! That's brilliant!
I heard that same excuse on Fargo from William H Macy.
Hes right! Recently i realized my Vitamin D deficiency has almost ruined my life in more places than one. Once i caught on and fixed the issue, now it help me become a better man for myself and my family. Now i have the energy to do it all! Malnutrition is something not to be taken for granted by any means

he still minor groomin or he cool now?
GREAT idea to implementation. And NGOs can purchase too.

We need those bouillon cubes here in our own market, to help with our own poverty.
My first professional certification has his signature on it. It's one of those autogenerated signatures but I still think it's cool.
Bill had been maliciously criticized over the years…..
So sad.
He had done wonders for many people in the world.
Kudos to him.
There are so many selfish , uncaring billionaires in the world.
Do you think he cares because he gives what he’s has too much of…?ask his wife what she thinks. She divorced him for being friends with Epstein, whose gravestone should read sex trafficker. What Bill gives is not the widows might, he feels no regret for what he’s done. Wondering how many people would think Bills a good man if it was their daughters that were on the island with Bill and Epstein, it’s not an even exchange is it? Money. Powerful stuff.

"Goalkeepers" Odd and possibly wrong name. A"goalkeeper" is to prevent the other team from scoring or it sounds like a bad spinoff of "Oathkeepers".
For a while I thought he was saying Goldkeepers.
He should be investigated!!
Vitamin boullion cubes are genius. That will help so many people although I can see there still being push back on the cost. I’m not keen on the methods Bill Gates used to gain his fortune, but I like who he is now.
Yeah he was an ahole to work for, ruthless with a mean streak, but he is trying to be better and feels his wealth brings responsibility to the less fortunate

Again, thank you for the wake up call for the misplaced care I was devoting to whom didnt care at all.
Sure would like to try those nutrient fortified boullion cubes.
Imagine the health of college students if they put that in ramen packets.
We have been fortifying foods for a long time and it works. Glad an effort is being made to continue to help those at risk of being left behind.
Bill 😊
This is deeply disturbing..
I hope Bill Gates is doing more to help than just vitamin bullion cubes, 138 billion dollars could FEED a lot of people for a long time. Vitamins are important but bullion wont fill your belly.
It’s soilent green.
Not sure why anyone would dislike his agenda?
