It's fascinating to see him solve problems using his intelligence, especially since he wasn't born with a lot of magic talent. As Rider said, "Using a simple method to accomplish something impressive, far outshines using a complex method to achieve the same thing." But honestly, I recommend checking out Fate/Strange Fake even more once it is released. Its story has a Fate/Zero vibe, with every character feeling like a main protagonist. Plus, it’s a Holy Grail War in the USA, and Waver, along with some other familiar faces, makes an appearance too.

You will def want to watch "Lord El Melloi II Case Files" which is a 13 ep series about Wavers journey after Zero and how he does his best to walk the path Iskander set him on. Its probably my 2nd favorite story in the Fate universe. The Hero of Justice Arc is my most fav, but the Waver story from Zero to lord El Melloi II is very very good. It was made by Studio TROYCA who is a crazzy talented studio and the visuals rival UBW for best quality in the Fate seres.
Just to clarify the ending since the anime leaves it a bit ambiguous, in the original epilogue script they show Shirou seeing traces of where Archer ended up and ends up being filled with hope as he continues on his journey and surpasses him, they even wrote a scene of Archer watching Shirou pass him as if he's seeing something dazzling but the reason it was cut was because of time constraints. Shirou and Rin also end up together, Rin joins him on his journey to do hero stuff together and explore the world. In a sequel series called Hollow/Ataraxia there's a scene with Future Rin where you find out she and Shirou are very lovey dovey with each other, they won't always be together since they each have their own goals but their relationship can be described as one in which where love knows no bounds since however far they may be from each other, they will always find solace in one another, and like Rin said they'll one day settle down and have their happily ever after.

27:00 Fate 2006 is the adaptation of the Fate route (Saber route), however this adaptation has elements and plots from the UBW and Heaven's Feel routes that it originally shouldn't have, however it doesn't "destroy" the main story of the Fate route, now about Sakura, she doesn't have much participation in UBW because her focus will be on Heaven's Feel where she will be the main character of the story, just as UBW focuses on Rin, and 2006 focuses on Saber.
Rin and Shirou end up together in UBW, I think that since this was a TV series, they went to a more subtle tone in the ending... and there's the "happy ending"... 😅
Fate stay night visual novel vastly surpasses Fate zero and any adaption of FSN. But i think the UBW adaption did the best FSN adaption which i guess says something. I do hope you react fate 2006. its inferior compared to the fate route it is based on but its still worth watching just to get a basic sense of things that you otherwise would not even see without reading the visual novel
I really enjoy the Hero of Justice story in Fate. Shirou cant change becomeing a Guardian as that event exists outside time, it is a choice he already made in the future so he cant stop it. But he can make his path there a bit more meaningful. He chose to walk to path of the Hero knowing it was going down a path of suffering, but he still chose it because there would be people to save on the way. He will always want to help people and if anything, knowing he becomes a true hero in the end only gave him more motivation. Its a very insteresting character story but it works so well. One day i would love to get a story about EMIYA's life as a guardian and how he ended up curising his path and then how he was after coming to terms from fighting himself. Would be a neat story. Im glad yall enjoyed the series though. Its such a great story arc. Next yall can decide what you watch next (probably Deen) but forge your own path as you have many options. Doing Deen in a binge is a great idea though, it will drag way too much if you do it week to week as its a rougher and slower paced adaption. And if you want to get to bigger newer things that are better adapted, getting through deen fast would be smart. You could probably do 4/5 eps at a time and do 1 video about it if you wanna do that. Its still worth yall seeing that story though as its Saber's arc. As for what other fate series you could watch next... "Lord El Melloi II Case Files" is Waver's story from after Zero and its a detective series. (The Best Saber Face is in it) "Fate / Heavens Feel" is Sakura's route in FSN and is a fan fav route and the darkest route. "Fate / Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya" is Illiya's route and its about if she had a happy life. Its VERY popular. (think card captor sakura) "Fate / Apocrypha" is a very famouse and popular stand alone series. Youde love the masters in that. "Fate / Strange Fake" is an alternate timeline of the Grail war you just saw. Technically this is Gilgamesh's route. You will need to have seen everything above before you watch this though as it has characters from many Fate series. "Fate / Grand Order" is... anime adaptions of the mobile Gatcha game. You can watch if you want. As someone who loved the well written Fate Novels, i hate Grand Order as it is just poorly written to sell waifus in a money spending game. That said, the game makes Millions of dollars a year so it is insanely popular hence why there is anime of it.
