In case anyone is wondering, like I was when I first found this video, yes, they can translate to your youth football team. I've used or adapted quite a few of these drills for my 5th & 6th graders with great results. The ones showing how to maintain edge protection with the "shuffle & read" techniques have been especially helpful. Upfield Thighboard at about the 3:20 mark greatly helped with not getting locked up by a lead blocker, our tackling in general & even dramatically increased the number of TFL.
