Hellish, you are no cheater, you beat me in the spirit of that competition. I didn't knew that trick back then, but it doesn't make it invalid. So yeah GG and well done. Next time I catch you! ...oh wait I did 😅 Daily Coffee.
There were multiple people using this exploit too. Sustransport was leading most of the game but started doing it the second public trading opened, then those trains started losing value. You'll see a few other people shoot up near the end like Hellish did and I assume they had the same idea, just not as much cash on hand to rocket up as high as he did.
This was a perfect summary, a blow for blow action report of your highlights. Great utilization of an exploit, wholly in the spirit of The Spiffing Brit! I think that I got this channel recommended just after getting a free membership on The Spiffing Brit's channel, so I think I found you through that channel.
@MasterHellish-Gaming I'm not surprised. Compressing multiple hours into a summary is a hard task, finding those pivotal moments (good and bad), portraying those in a way that's engaging and interesting while staying true to the source. Good job!
This spiffing brit stream was such a great one to watch and I was so glad when Hellish won despite the fiendish tactics of others - looking at you Sus transport! :)
Thanks for taking time to take a look at my magnum ops, THE GREAT FUHILL RAIL BRIDGE. It was great fun competing against you and even though I died right at the end you deserved the W.
@@thespiffingbrit Awfully decent of you to say spiff. Well whilst the GREAT FUGILL RAIL BRIDGE may stand forever, I think it only serves as the gateway for things to come. Something I shall cross to the digital future. But if all else fails that Bridge will forever stand as a monument to my desire to spend inordinate amounts of money on a prestige project that almost backfired but ended up actually saving the company.
This was an epic watch last year, thanks for throwing it back to this! I think we should get spiff to do another battle royale, I can’t believe it’s been a year!
Hey! GG on the win, very suitable indeed! Haven’t heard of OpenTTD until now, I’ll give it a look! Also I’m celebrating the advent of yet another decent channel, look forward to seeing more content!
What I found funny is several others tried the whole 'mass buy trains to boost value' but they did it far FAR too early in the game and all it did was make them a target :P You kept it cool, saved, fended others off then went big at the end. If others had waited until the end to do the big value push I wonder how it would have looked!
I thought nearly everyone did it, but of course you need enough cash to make it work. So, it's an exploit, but if it wasn't allowed it'd be in the rules so,... All good in my book.
I think I bought that 10% in your company right at the start. I was so cash poor at the end, I couldn't do what you did, although I would have benefitted a bit from your climb. However, lessons were learnt...
Was wathcing this after spiffs video and i was thinking huh, i really should get into this (tried a few times) and was thinking I need tutorials and apparently im already here for the best ha!
I saw the original video a year ago. Why am I watching it again now? The question is why is the video coming out here and now and RUclips thinks it's a great thing?
Nope. Not outdated. I keep my playlist up to date with any relevant changes. Not all of them have changed because the core of the game had not really changed
While your company value rose due to the exploit in the final month for the win, I'm more interested in the three lines that dropped precipitously, light blue going from #2 to #6th place, white going from #7 to #17, and gray going from #18(tied) to last at #25. It's clear they all tried some dramatic move in the final month that actually backfired. Perhaps they tried liquidating all their vehicles for cash or something? Or was it other competitors' dumping shares owned in their companies that tanked their value. If so, another reason to buyback all your shares first.
I played from transport tycoon 1.0 chros sawyer from 1995, than 2.0 and now OPEN TTD. My kid told me at 2017 that OPENT TTD can play in android, I down load and played until now. Love the game especially with train track, but annoying with the monorail track it doesn't like 2.0 TT. But it okay now.
Winning Spiff's battle royal by using exploits is the intended way to win.
what are you doing here? this isn't factorio! (crazy to see a wild trupen)
Figures you'd like open TTD too, beautiful messes of trains and graphs the two of them are.
Because OpenTTD is a fantastic free game. Plus I do have some Factorio too ;)
That was a perfectly fair and balanced contest with no exploits whatsoever!
Well maybe Sus did some exploits. They didn’t save him in the end.
Hellish, you are no cheater, you beat me in the spirit of that competition. I didn't knew that trick back then, but it doesn't make it invalid. So yeah GG and well done. Next time I catch you! ...oh wait I did 😅

Haha good work. It's a pleasure as always
@Gil-games imagine lack of knowledge would disqualify anyone from any competitions. The only person able to play would be in a coma

But dp is on another level
You almost biffed it, and then you Spiffed it.
Haha

Haha yeah it was a good event
Been waiting for this exact video! Was just Rewatching the openttd vids from spiff yesterday! Great timing!
Haha. Perfect! I have been sitting on this footage for ages. It felt like the right time.
Amazing! I had never heard of OpenTTD but revisited Transport Tycoon just last year. That game (and this) brings so many good memories.
Definitely give OpenTTD a go. It's free and on both it's website and Steam
Thanks for taking time to take a look at my magnum ops, THE GREAT FUHILL RAIL BRIDGE. It was great fun competing against you and even though I died right at the end you deserved the W.
I think this might be your greatest digital legacy fleet. I will certainly never forget that legendary bridge

I knew I recognised that voice Fleet
2:00 that was my company, after the starting difficulties, I couldn't get back in, so It was left unattended and bled out...

Thank you for coming over. I do the OpenTTD is a fantastic free game
I like this "game recap" format. I'd be interested in seeing more videos along these lines for OpenTTD, if you have ideas for more. :)
I have been doing highlights of my viewer games but they are usually more like 40 min
hahahahha... Hellish, that was fantasic !!! absolute clincher right at the end
Glad you liked it
We did that exploit in some German transport LKW business game decades ago too. In the end we all did pump and dumps.
What I found funny is several others tried the whole 'mass buy trains to boost value' but they did it far FAR too early in the game and all it did was make them a target :P You kept it cool, saved, fended others off then went big at the end. Just watched the challenge, it was fantastic to see and now im disappointed I wasn't there to compete. Congratulations on your win!

Ye, it's an intended mechanic after all
0:55 goated steam library 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Finally! Closure! WoopWoop! =3
Ha ha. Ya, I had that footage for a while
cars are fun, you can make the shortest railroad ever where a locomotive keeps killing cars since it cant stop in time
There is a game setting that can stop this from happening between companies in multiplayer
@@MasterHellish sure, but it's still fun that it is possible

I don't think there's a more appropriate way to win a Spiffing Brit tournament than by breaking the game inside out
6:20 chat said imposter killed them. 😂
This was completely in line with Spiffin Brit's Code of Fairness and Exploits. There are no exploits, only unintended features.
Was wathcing this after spiffs video and i was thinking huh, i really should get into this (tried a few times) and was thinking I need tutorials and apparently im already here for the best ha!
You're in the right place
I saw it come up on Spiff’s channel and figured you’d take it.
How is it that I know this already and remember knowing this for over half a year at least?
Is this a reupload?
This is the first time I've told the story from my perspective. Maybe you're thinking of the video that Spiff put out when he did the event.
Sir! Great video, What headset do you use? looks comfy and sleek
HyperX Cloud III Wireless - Gaming Headset
I did a review on my variety channel if you want a closer look
Great one !
Thanks!
Great story! I love OTTD
The best!
Funniest BR match i have ever seen. Would love to see it again. There are definitly enough Anime Girls for the Coal Mines again.
I saw the original video a year ago. Why am I watching it again now? The question is why is the video coming out here and now and RUclips thinks it's a great thing?
Is the original livestream vod of yours available anywhere? Been trying to hunt it down
Nope. I did not stream my participation in Spiff's event.
0:56 how can TF2 not be in the "Fantastic Free Games" list 😭
That one is on the list to review (we have quite a few to get through)
Spiff approved tatics 😂
Spiffing good show Sir
Fastest master hellish upload
I originally wasn't going to use the footage and recently changed my mind
@@MasterHellish Ah makes sense! this was an amazing video :D

Good job

any other game I'd find this in poor taste.
but absolutely well played on a spiff competition!
Thank you
fun video.
Thanks
When is next event?
Would love another ottd battle 😅
Oh did you get your voucher?
Haha technically no. But I didn't hold Spiff to it.
The theme of the game was capitalism. So it was fair
