No pyrotechnics, no laser light show, no back-up dancers "twerking", no armpits, no any other crap. Just a good song and GREAT singers. What happened to that? RIP Tompall.
Tompall Glaser has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. He was better with his brothers than he was a solo artist. The brothers harmonized so beautiful it's spine-tingling. Love these guys!
Incredible harmoniews- THE BEST ever in country or pop music!! It's a shame these guys never got the recognition they deserved. Jerre Haskew The Cumberland Trio
I'd like to pay tribute to Chuck. I believe Chuck found this stunning song for the Glasers to record. Chuck, where ever you are, thank you and we love you.
I love this group of brothers. It is a shame they couldn't stay together for their entire lives. Sometimes there just is not enough glue to keep families together.
I've heard GREAT Mexican Marachi Harmonies, along with the Great Music that accompanies it!! The Harmonies of The Glaser Brothers, with the music they accomany it with, reminds me of Mexico, and it's Music, in a lot of ways!! I Love the Music of Tompall and the Glaser Brothers!!!
I agree with you Carol. And wasn't he just so gorgeous? I have loved the "many faces" of Tompall all through his lifetime. Everything he and his brothers sing are my favorites.
Always adored this piece. A nice little ballad, very well worded and beautifully harmozined, both here and in the studio version. Sweet, sweet melodies. Thank you, boys, for all the treasures you've left us with. These are the songs that our hearts and souls sing.
Don't stop, Helen. We all need to keep this great music alive. The Glasers have always been fantastic. Like you, I am having a very torrid love affair with their music. I hope that affair never ends. My late father was a big fan and he passed that on to me. I will always love Tompall. He released a gospel CD called "Outlaw To The Cross". I believe it was the last he recorded. It is GREAT! I play it all the time. Tompall's voice never lost a thing over the years. He sings with his Lord now.
I met these 3 guys in Phoenix, Az with Marty Robbins at the Arizona State Fair in 1957 or 1958. Their voices haven't changed a bit! Couldn't have met any nicer, polite young men from Nebraska with great voices. They stopped to see us when they were in Lima, Ohio a few yrs later, still the same guys with great voices. 30 yrs later while visiting Opryland, we looked up Chuck Glaser. Had a nice visit & he hadn't forgot us after 50+ yrs! Wish we could hear them again. BEST Country singers! Karol C
Tompall has been one of my favorites since then long, long time (40 years?) and his brothers as well. They play good music and will never be forgotten.
It´s never to late to learn, Helen. I´ve been a Glaser-fan for about 40 years now, and I never get tired of ém. RIP Tompall the greatest voice of ém all...
February 2017 - If you love The Glaser Brothers check out the EP album they released in 2016 'Rehearsal Sessions, May 1972'!!! Chuck Glaser of The Glaser Brothers released an album in 2017 'That's When I Love You The Most' check it out!!!
This is the second time I have ever heard this song. The first was many, many years ago on the radio. Never knew the title. Have been trying to find it ever since I heard it the first time. Hauntingly beautiful! Thanks so much for posting this!
@USCSRAINMAN My friend, I agree totally - apart from the spray on blue jeans - nothing wrong with spray on blue jeans. :) Not sure if you can wear out a youtube download but I'm sure I'm getting there!
This style of Western music ballads isn't sung or recorded any more. This talented family harmony isn't around any more, either. The CW music fans today haven't had the opportunity to hear talent like this now.....instead they're presented watered-down synthesized semi-rock garbage recorded by bubblegum chewing high school phonies and buff bums in sorayed-on-tight blue jeans. What a shame. The Glasers set a standard for flawless music harmony that is unmatched today and sorely missed.

@musicnut58 Jim's the one with the beautiful voice. But their three voices blended more beautifully than any I've ever heard. Even though they appear to hate each other. That's sad, but we've seen it many times before.
Individually great, together Outstanding! Top of the line trio.
No pyrotechnics, no laser light show, no back-up dancers "twerking", no armpits, no any other crap. Just a good song and GREAT singers. What happened to that? RIP Tompall.

No one can match these guys!

I love this group of brothers. It is a shame they couldn't stay together for their entire lives. Sometimes there just is not enough glue to keep families together.
The Glaser Bros are without discussion pure real deal! I´ll thrilled a lot of ladies with their records...
Maria Consuelo Arroyo, sung so beautifully here by Tompall and the Glaser Brothers, was written by the late Tim Henderson in 1978 in Austin, Texas.
This song is new to me.......simply beautiful!!
Thank you for sharing this song and video..we listen to it at least twice a day...Such a wonderful song..Charlotte and Roger
So innovative and meaningful unlike the crap today.

Jim Glaser had a wonderful voice, he put his soul into his music.
He has always been my favorite; loved him since I was a teenager. Very nice man.
Jim is awesome!
I love all their voices TOGETHER. But, Tompall has such a distinctive sound that no wonder he was their lead singer.
what a lovely song this is.
Simply beautiful love this song from tompall and brothers thanks for this
A song is only good when you get the singers who will do it justice and the Glasers are the perfect match, outstanding talent
In my book they rank alongside the Louvin Brothers and the Everlys - and should be in the Country Music HOF!!
Always adored this piece. A nice little ballad, very well worded and beautifully harmozined, both here and in the studio version.

The most underappreciated guys to hit Nashville. They thumbed their noses at the bosses and did right well financially.
Hey that´s great tune. :-)
it is alive...in mexican music, like banda, nortena, conjunto, and mariachi.....

My name is Maria Consuelo
The words are: "And time's the black angel, the dark curanderro who brings the long sleep".
@Mrdolphina55
No, but at least they wrote and published some great songs that they can still make money off today!
Roses…
Lovely. I still like Tim's version better. though.
The word is "currandero" just one "r". Sorry.
