gg caveman. Especially how you danced around the clan maruder about midgame. Very clever. Hey caveman... Why do you think the higher teir players prefer to use 3xrac2's on the shadow hawk, rather than 2xrac5's? I understand speed is an issue, yet i find the rac5's just devastate the enemy mech. Especially on committed face chares into the enemy. Not to mention if you time them well around midgame & with some heavy teammates who also push. Just something I've always wondered. gg!
My personal thoughts. The SHD-2H left torso can mount 3 ballistics in a tight group, eliminating convergence issue. RAC2s have a slight range over the RAC5s. But more importantly the RAC2 runs cooler than RAC5s. As a dakka weapon, the RACs are meant to face tank and not peak. When face tanking, heat is key to sustain damage and the RACs2 are better.
