  • Bult an old Robbe kit because the wing can be taken off for transport (on a motorbike, e.g.)
No landing gear, no stickers, noisy old MPX Dogfighter motor, MPX glider spinner, 9x5 Aeronaut folder blades,
30A ESC, 1500-1600mA 3s sufficient for CG because of a rather heavy motor in the nose.
Video shows final flight, followed by scenes from two other flights earlier that day.
I actually liked the noise of the bad motor bearings. Plane is very light and can be flown
slowly for practicing aerobatics - my repertoire is pretty limited, two attempts at rolling circles did
not lead to a crash (but the Mobius had a glitch during the first in the video, had to take 1 second out, maybe the micro SD card is not the best?).
However, the shapoe of the fuse with the large side area in the rear, and very little in front of the wing, does not lend itself to knife edge. Also, the large rudder is not very effective.
The fatal crash was most likely caused by sloppy RX placement, and one of the antennae turned out to have broken off - bummer, it went in on the concrete road, right behind the flying field, and the nose section is beyond repair, the EPO back then (Robbe "Arcel") was more like Styrofoam and literally crumbled into many pieces.

I've seen them second hand here and there but that's a GREAT flyer! Sorry for your loss!

thx! without landing gear and small lipo it is relatively light, but it has limits, as it does not like knife edge at all (fuselage side area large in the rear, almost none in front of the wing), and the rudder is not very effective despite its size.
Really liked your FW Cougar video BTW, great vertical performance, good camera work!
