this truly is Scott's pinnacle of visuals. The pre-rendered graphics are so very beatiful and it really builds upon the aesthetic he first introduced with the release of The Desolate Hope. The private room is also a great rendition of the classic office gameplay.
I feel like nobody talks about just how actually terrifying Funtime Freddy is. His voice is really raspy and has an almost psychotic tone. Sure all his voicelines are prerecorded and all relate to parties and birthday boys, but even so the way he speaks is just outright terrifying. He also has voicelines in FNAF AR Special Delivery (which I myself haven't played but thankfully the wiki is more than happy to provide). He has his usual "party" voicelines but some of his new lines straight up paint the image of a murderer toying with the fear of his victim before killing them. Most of the other animatronics in the franchise are either not real or have unfinished business that, to them, justifies their murderous intents. They kill because they have a specific reason to. Not Funtime Freddy; he kills for the fun of it, and he very clearly enjoys toying with his victims. There's literally a part in one of the Fazbear Frights books where he FORCES A GIRL TRAPPED INSIDE OF HIM TO CHOOSE THE WAY SHE WILL BE EXECUTED!
PLEASE i’m so excited for the next one too!! i love your videos, they’re actually the highlight of my day most of the time, and fnaf 6 is my absolute favorite of all the games. i can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Sister Location is definitely my favorite FNAF game, so many fond memories. I'm not really into fnaf anymore but SL will always have a special place in my heart.
"I should be dead but i'm not" is such a great quote that, for me, basically introduced the newer, more crazy lore that fnaf has now to me. It wasn't just about ghosts taking over animatronics, now it was something else entirely. (queue the time traveling ball pit from the anthology books)
This is where the franchsie, which ranks as one of my favourite video game franchises of al time, temporarily turned me off itself. It stopped having one of the main appeals for me: relatability - the animatronics became totally unbelievably futurisitic, the Purple Guy became Dr Wily, the location - while a thing (underground storage exits) is a location most people are unlikely to go to (unlike a pizzeria, a haunted maze and a house) and we get story elements like robots wearing human skins via a giant scooper and that scooped skin staying alive afterwards. Bloody good retrospective video though!
When I first saw the teasers for sister location it was exhilarating to experience, I felt Disturbed and excited at the same time but when the game came out I didn't know what the feel about it everything was just so confusing, it was different from what I was expecting
I really appreciate the kind of transitional phrases at the ends of the videos, I’m sure to people who are binge watching this series it helps the videos just connect easier rather than being a harsh jump to the next game.
I love FNAF but I feel the popularity and overall novelty of the franchise really started to die off with this game Idk it stopped being a horror game and started being a visual novel with puzzles and slight horror elements
Well that's true of this game and arguably some parts of fnaf vr, fnaf 6 was not like that. Just horror survival mixed with tycoon elements and minigames.
A dude that never dies just because he is smart enough with technology just to keep murdering children is still pretty horrifying to me. A cereal killer that can live forever is just a nightmare.
the gas leaks in sister loocation are mentioned in fnaf 3 when one of the old cassette mentions "an unfortunate incident at the sister location." PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO FNAF 3 ITS IMPORTANT
I recently got back into the series and watching your retrospectives have been reminding me of my first time playing the games. Thank you for posting these ^^ We appreciate it
I love sister location so much. I love the humor and the designs. Some people say the animatronics are ugly in this game, but they are so amazing and beautiful.
It’s nice seeing a positive review on Sister Location. It’s got a good amount of flaws but story wise it’s insane. Awesome video and can’t wait to see more of the series!
It's always surprising to me when people talk about Sister Location, because so many people *love* it, and I found it to be really underwhelming myself. A wonderful video as always, I'm catching up on the retrospectives I missed after stumbling onto your Petscop video! Thank you so much for the wonderful content!
The name wasn't discovered in any meta data, it was guessed by someone on freddit who guessed it after remembering Phone Guy saying something about a 'Sister location' in FNAF 2
Sister Location was my real introduction to the FNaF community! I had been interested in the series since the first game, but my interest grew more when Sister Location came out. The aesthetic of cold, unwelcoming tones of blue, or the the metallic, segmented animatronics, to the new shift in gameplay really drew me in to wanna do something with it. So, me and my close friend, who was also into FNaF did a remix of the Ballora's music box theme, that stuck in my head DAYS after hearing it the first time. We had this big idea to really amp up the track, and when finished, released it on RUclips and posted it on the FNaF subreddit, for fun! I had no idea that the remix would have ever been as big as it was, and communicating with the honestly passionate fanbase is still a highlight for me. Can honestly never be thankful enough for them. I may make jokes about "being the sister location remix guy" or something at times, but in all honesty, I felt SUPER welcome in a community I'd otherwise never interacted with, prior to the release of that remix, and the fanfare they gave was FAR beyond my expectations. No matter where my slowly moving career goes from here, I'll always think of THIS GAME and the community that surrounds it as what really kickstarted any motivations I, as a music producer have to continue pushing forwards with it. The last few years have been difficult for me, but that fond memory surrounding this game often pushes me forwards. If you've listened to and enjoyed the track in the past, thank you! You've helped me more than you could ever know! Stay Awesome~
Since you mentioned the theme music controversy, there was actually another much smaller controversy that involved the menu theme, but with Yandere Simulator. People claimed that the Delinquent theme stole a backing track in the SL menu theme. I don’t know if that’s another misunderstanding or actual copying, but I just wanted you to know

this truly is Scott's pinnacle of visuals.
God he would make such a better villain than the mimic

PLEASE i’m so excited for the next one too!! i love your videos, they’re actually the highlight of my day most of the time, and fnaf 6 is my absolute favorite of all the games. i can’t wait to see what you do with it!

Hilarious 😐
Definitely one of the coolest, most unique, and experimental fnaf games and I appreciate it's existence
Wait, that intro was mental!!!!
It most have taken a ton of time so props to you.
Sagan: Can’t complete Night 4 on SL
Me who has completed it on phone 1st try: Interesting
Phone is way easier
i beat it on my friends ipad 2nd try but i’ve had the game for about 5 months on my xbox and i can’t get it
@Strange Kitten ur hard
Using your hand is easier. Using a mouse is fucking so hard. Using a mouse pad is impossible. Using your mind is god like.
Just finished binging these up til now, I’ve enjoyed going back to these games and the way you present them!
I remember that on the steam page of the game, the release date was around the end of october 2016, then it changed
26:26 Of course he says that and I'm over here metaphorically throwing my hands up going "Why not F tier??!?!?"
I CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER FOR THE PREMIERE OH BOY
This is where the franchsie, which ranks as one of my favourite video game franchises of al time, temporarily turned me off itself. It stopped having one of the main appeals for me: relatability - the animatronics became totally unbelievably futurisitic, the Purple Guy became Dr Wily, the location - while a thing (underground storage exits) is a location most people are unlikely to go to (unlike a pizzeria, a haunted maze and a house) and we get story elements like robots wearing human skins via a giant scooper and that scooped skin staying alive afterwards.
Bloody good retrospective video though!
These Retrospective videos are my favourite things. Straight up, I always get super hyped for these and I’m eagerly awaiting the next one.
When I first saw the teasers for sister location it was exhilarating to experience, I felt Disturbed and excited at the same time but when the game came out I didn't know what the feel about it everything was just so confusing, it was different from what I was expecting
So that was the adult theory about , I have heard of it but never seen an explanation about. thank you, I was trying to find it
The nostalgia of hearing all the theories once again hit me like a truck, since I was a five year old fnaf addict at the time of it's release
FNAF SL, to me, was the start of the golden era for the Fnaf games, for both official and fanmade.
I really appreciate the kind of transitional phrases at the ends of the videos, I’m sure to people who are binge watching this series it helps the videos just connect easier rather than being a harsh jump to the next game.
Lol remember when we thought we were playing as William in this before custom night came out?
I can definitely see the step up in editing and entertainment for this video compared to your older vids. Great work, mate. Really enjoyed this one
I love FNAF but I feel the popularity and overall novelty of the franchise really started to die off with this game
Idk
it stopped being a horror game and started being a visual novel with puzzles and slight horror elements
well, the popularity sure isn't an issue since fnaf has been going through a massive resurgence recently
Dunno what you mean. This game was terrifying. I also remember it being super hyped up.
@@johnnycripplestar5167 cereal killer, I agree, anyone could eat that much cereal is someone you Don't want to mess with
I really appreciate these videos, really high quality!
''Scott literally curbstomped miketrap'' aaand I subbed
I remember "Sister Location" being found in the metadata too, so if that is made up we both made it up. XD
No mention of the Exotic Butters????
the gas leaks in sister loocation are mentioned in fnaf 3 when one of the old cassette mentions "an unfortunate incident at the sister location."
PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO FNAF 3 ITS IMPORTANT
A sister location is a place related or connected to another place
@@DeathnoteBB yeah thats right but it is talking about Circus Baby Pizza World though
The dates don't work though.
@@martmine4618 Yeah, Sister Location had to have happened around FNAF 4
I recently got back into the series and watching your retrospectives have been reminding me of my first time playing the games. Thank you for posting these ^^ We appreciate it
These are so good can't wait to watch it
This deserves so much more attention and views! Great video!
*Oh Yeah Sister Location 👌*
I love sister location so much. I love the humor and the designs. Some people say the animatronics are ugly in this game, but they are so amazing and beautiful.
There's alot of effort that went into that intro
This game had prolly the best menu music.
Love how you upped the production quality on the Sister Location video, which was the point in FNAF that the production quality went way up
A few months ago I noticed Funtime Foxy's hand clips through his body in the trailer. I can't watch that trailer anymore
Yooo, been waiting for this for so long
I remember when the trailer for this game came out, holy shit my child mind was blown. It’s great to reminisce like this.
Since you mentioned the theme music controversy, there was actually another much smaller controversy that involved the menu theme, but with Yandere Simulator. People claimed that the Delinquent theme stole a backing track in the SL menu theme. I don’t know if that’s another misunderstanding or actual copying, but I just wanted you to know
I love these videos. so well put together, you've really outdone yourself man .
