    Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that's used to treat skin concerns via collagen production. After applying anesthetic cream to your skin, your practitioner will use a special tool to create tiny holes in your skin's surface. The procedure takes 15--30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.

    I can’t believe she said you can wear make up the day after micro-needling !!!
    That is absolutely not true! You are so prone to infection by doing that.
    Normally I have to have 48 hours downtime after getting a treatment done. I’ll be red
    for about two days after the treatment and I definitely will not put make up on. I suggest that you get this done on a Friday and spend Saturday and Sunday recovering inside of the house. You also are not supposed to be exposed to sun right after I micro-needling. If you ever have had micro needling done you know that this is true. I’ve been to a couple of different offices and every single one of them told me that under no circumstance should I put anything on my face the next day especially make up.
    And I’ve seen multiple people receive infections because they chose to put something on their face the next day after microneedling . I’m not sure if this is just deceptive marketing or if this is pure ignorance either way it’s a very harmful to be putting this false information out

      Jay Renan I know she is .....? I’m not saying she isn’t.
      I’m saying she’s giving poor advise. And if you’ve ever had microneedling done you would know this is true . Other demonologists would say this is horrible instruction just to get more people to want to have micro-needling done at her office . There is for sure downtime to micro-needling. I’ve had it done several times and none of the doctors told me I could wear makeup the next day, they actually told me the opposite. They told me I would most certainly get an infection and breakout if I wore anything on my face the next day, especially makeup,

    I use koi beauty dermapen in my professional Esthetician Practice as well as for personal use and it is awesome! The needle depth is adjustable, it has multiple speeds, and the variety of needle size attachments makes it highly personalisable to the needs of the clients skin. Three treatments is the average needed to see some real change and you will see the maximum improvement about 6 months after the last treatment when the skin has had time to lay down new cells, collagen and elastin. Using the hyaluronic acid that comes with it is a must. Some clients choose to have some lidocaine cream applied before use (just make sure you wash it off before you start using the Dr Pen) but most experience such little discomfort they opt to due without the lidocaine.

There are countless articles all over the internet documenting that microneedling is safe to perform without scarring or pigmentation for all skin tones. But that would require a little effort on your part and it's much easier to just whine and play victim posting stupid comments on youtube for attention. What's the difference between Fractional laser and Microneedling?

    • @USDermatologyPartners
      @USDermatologyPartners  4 года назад +7

      Fractional Laser is a treatment used to reduce facial wrinkles and skin conditions including acne, scars, warts, enlarged glands on the nose and more. The process vaporizes the upper layers of skin, which creates a wound that encourages the body to produce new collagen. The collagen and elastic fibers tighten as they heal, and the tightened skin eliminates wrinkles as it pulls together.
      Microneedling - also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) - is a procedure that essentially pokes holes in the skin surface, creating a “micro injury” that encourages the skin to stimulate collagen production. Once the collagen production begins, it fills in fine lines and plumps the skin to create a more youthful appearance. Hope that helps.

    What if you already do monthly illuminize peels, is it ok to throw a reguvapen treatment in occasionally as opposed to doing 3 microneedling treatments 6 weeks apart? My derms office offers 3 and 6 treatment packages, but honestly, the superficial peels seem to work fine for me, has helped with a bit of texture. Just thinking microneedling for a boost in collagen occasionally. The packages even with a measly 5% discount, is a bit expensive for me to shell out all at once! Its about $375 for 1 treatment without the packages. I have my 45th birthday this month, I also get botox twice a year, which I metabolize before the 3 month mark, maybe lasts about 9 to 10 weeks, just looking for ways to keep my skin looking as good as can as I age, but within means, not going broke. Is it a waste of money to do 1 time a year if your getting mini peels as well? Opinion?

      From what I've seen, it's designed to fix abnormalities/scarring of the skin. So deep acne scars and even stretch marks. Dark under eyes, because I have them too, can be related to genetics, lack of sleep, and allergies.

      There are a few temporary side effects to be aware of with microneedling. The procedure causes short-term swelling, redness, and skin flaking, which can last for a few days. Most people can return to wearing regular makeup within a day of treatment. Skin damage is a risk that commonly occurs with microneedling devices. The damage may include bleeding, bruising, redness, tightness, itching and peeling, and these typically go away without any treatment after a few days or weeks. Like all cosmetic procedures, microneedling isn't without risk. The most common side effect is minor skin irritation immediately following the procedure. You may also see redness for a few days.

    Any side effects of micro needling??

    • @USDermatologyPartners
      @USDermatologyPartners  2 года назад +1

      Microneedling has very few side effects, and they are generally short-lived. Immediately after microneedling, the treated area will be reddish in color. On average, patients may have redness for two to four days; however, some patients heal completely in 24 hours. If you have dark skin, you may experience temporary hyperpigmentation. While you may have mild symptoms after microneedling, this is a truly no-downtime treatment. That means you can go back to your regular routine immediately after you visit the office. The only difference is to take special care to limit sun exposure as your skin heals.

      Microneedling has been successfully used as a treatment for scars for several years. It involves creating micro-punctures in the skin, which help to break down old scar tissue and stimulate fresh new collagen and elastin

Health Education England recommends a Level 4 qualification for up to 0.5mm, Level 5 qualification for up to 1.0mm, and a Level 6 qualification for up to 1.5mm.

    Isn’t the inflammation induced by needling bad for your skin?

    • @USDermatologyPartners
      @USDermatologyPartners  4 года назад +2

      The thousands of micro-injuries and microchannels created by microneedling and the resultant inflammation is the key to its success. The tiny zones of healing results in new collagen and elastin formation. When performed with an FDA approved medical grade device, such as the SkinPen, the results are even more impressive.

    Does this helps with PIE marks? I would like to book an application if it does

    • @xinyuanwemero8890
      @xinyuanwemero8890 2 года назад

      Post-inflammatory erythema (PIE) is the residual red, pink, or purple spots left behind by acne breakouts. PIE goes away on its own, but it can be resolved more speedily when dermatological treatments are used.

    • @xinyuanwemero8890
      @xinyuanwemero8890 2 года назад

      Microneedling uses a dermaroller of tiny needles to generate a superficial, controlled skin injury. This induces skin to produce new collagen-rich tissue, eliminating surface red spot. So.I think yes. It can remove your pie marks.

      Microneedling has become one of the most popular anti-aging cosmetic treatments, and for good reason. This in-office treatment is a favorite among dermatologists for treating fine lines and wrinkles, as well as indented acne scars (i.e. pitted scar)and other blemishes related to collagen production.
