    I am a loyal Exped customer. I have the Megamat 10 LXW and the Megamat 12 LXW Lite. The Megamats are completely awsome but not fun to handle on hikes. Megamat 12 lite os really comfortable but not as comfortable as the Megamat 10. If I went carcamping I would definitely use the Megamat 10. I didn't know there was even a need for a Megamat 15 or Max. I am really fat aswell with my 120 kg but I sleep just fine on the Megamat 10 and 12 lite. I would like to see Exped adapt to Hilleberg Tents though - so my dream set up would be A Exped UL/HL (HL Winter) duo that is 197 long but M wide - 197 x 105-82 and add thickness to 10 cm. It would sit perfect in a Hilleberg Unna for us with a small dog that loves to sleep around your head. And if you could produce matcovers to all your mats that would be a plus.

    Is the Megamat better because it's thicker or does deepsleep do the same job?

    Had a question, im abt to buy the magamat 10 and you say to store it with both valves open i can see the deflate valve open but the inflate valve is closed unless you put and adapter in it say from a portable battery pump but connect the pump i can see that but if you want to open both valves, only 1 is really open to let air in which is the deflate valve if your storing it. What am i missing here???
    Also wished you stood 1 mattress by itself on the wall and stand in front of it to see the height and width say for the 25.6" mat and the LXW i do beleve has a 30.3" width... and little higher.. that would have giving the buyer a good view of it size difference and also the duo size too.. just a tip for your next vid.

    I like the oversized deflate valve but would like to see how fast it deflates. On the regular size That a big criteria for me

    Are these hollowed out like Megamat? Are they as easy to compress and still lightweight for their size? Friend has a Thor Tellaro /Thor Sequence the mattresses are horrible . So we want to cut a block out of the stock Thor mattress which 4'/10CM thick . Too bad we can't use the Megamat 10. so we would have 1" of the stock foam which is compressible for about the 1st inch anyhow- the custom cushions could retain their shape but not only would they be adjustable now in firmness for sleeping but we can make them firmer for seating. So are they hollow core or not? WE also have the option of flipping them to make them ideal for sleeping and have 1" of foam so his wife won't complain about "bottoming out" when it gets to romance.

      HI John, These mats are not cored out like the Megamat is however they still very easy to compress and are relatively light weight for their size. Cheers!

    The instructions say to insert a “Toggle” into the inflation valve. This toggle is attached to the inflation valve cap”. Where is this toggle? Is is the green loop used as a pull for the cap?

    • @ExpedLLC
      @ExpedLLC  6 месяцев назад

      Yup! The "inflate toggle" is the small zipper-pull looking thing that's on the inflate valve cap. It's purpose to to have something to insert into the inflate valve to keep the green "flapper" valve propped open so that air has an adequate space to enter the mat through for faster self-inflation.

    For bike touring it is quite li g in the carrying case. Can you fold the deflated sleepad and then roll it so it fits in a dry sac( without ruining it? Thanks

    • @ExpedLLC
      @ExpedLLC  Год назад

      Folding and rolling the deflated mat shouldn't damage it, but the mat will naturally want to unfold itself, so we recommend weighting down the far corners to keep the mat together when rolling (similar to how duo mats are folded and rolled for storage).

    Just got my 7.5MW and I see no sign of a velcro strap....is it supposed to be included? Feel like it would really be useful for deflation and putting back in the sack...

      Hi Kurato. The DeepSleep 7.5 MW is supposed to come with a Velcro strap. Please let us know where you're located and we can connect you with the EXPED distributor in your area for assistance.

    Hey guys, what is the difference between the LW+ and M variants on the duo?

    • @ExpedLLC
      @ExpedLLC  4 года назад +2

      Hey There,
      The LW+ size is longer and wider than the M. The LW+ is 77x52 and the M is 72x40. Besides that, everything else is identical.

    Hi! We have SIM Comfort Duo which is great for one but quite unstable for two. So, is there a separate air compartment for both side in Duo models?

    • @ExpedLLC
      @ExpedLLC  3 года назад

      Hi Frank. There are not separate air compartments for each side of the DeepSleep Duo. However, our duo backpacking mats do have separate compartments for each side.

    This is meant to be a budget Megamat correct?

    • @ExpedLLC
      @ExpedLLC  4 года назад +1

      Hi There,
      This is going to be similar to the Megamat as they are both bonded foam and extremely comfortable. The Deepsleep is 7.5 cm thick and the Megamat is 10cm thick. This will have a lower price point as it uses different fabrics and does not come with the same accessories as the Megamat.

      @@ExpedLLC The inflation device is not an accessory. You cannot use this mat without it. It is like buying a car without a gas cap. Also, you do not want people inflating the mat with their breath.
      I own 9 Exped mats. I would not buy one that did not have inflation device and patch kit.

    A high R-value is great for when it's cold, but given that these have such a high R-value (higher than anything I've ever owned), I'm wondering how they'd be for car camping in the summer when it might be hot. Does anyone have any experience with them in such conditions?

      It doesn't mean that the mat is "hot" it means it's isolated. Meaning it doesn't get - cold OR hot - better. Actually if the ground is hot this would be even better.

    The inflation device has always been included. This lack of inflation and repair kit is not good. I own 9 of your mats and alway thought the inflation devices and repair kits were crucial to the mats. Sorry your quality is going down.
