Yeah... it isn't that fun. The game litrrally forces you to wonder endlessly to search for resources. The "tracking" range is very short. Also, lower tier goods are locked behind areas with mobs that have infinite aggro range (they will chase you forever) and are often many levels beyond what a player would be. This forces you to gather the resources that you need in less than optimal spaces where there will be a lot of running around aimlessly. Eventually you will figure out where a good route to gather is and you will be forced to follow it because you don't want to waste time running around. The game becomes very boring if you aren't flagging up for pvp. I wouldn't be surprised that the game gets pushed back even more. Awesome video! Honestly you're literally the go to channel for New World stuff. I've been looking forward to this game for more than two years, and really enjoy anything you put out related to New World. I especially like your interview with the Devs, focusing on the social aspect. Good stuff!
Crafting is my favorite part of any RPG I play. Cooking my own stuff from the animals I hunt and the fish I catch sounds satisfying so I might focus on that first. Here's hoping the game doesn't disappoint.
Don't get too hopeful. The crafting system in this game was a second thought that was thrown on at the last second just so AGS could say there was "crafting" in the game. There is honestly hardly anything to it. There are huge level gaps throughout the whole game where if you want something new or better to wear you're gonna be forced to either grind Faction quest, hope for a decent drop somewhere or buy off the AH. You can't even really farm for drops from dungeons because those are gated behind a crap system where you have to grind materials to make keys just to do a simple dungeon run. Or which will almost 100% be the case, buy the keys from AGS in their cash shop.
@@beasthaven1571 From where things stand with the current system I would have to say yes. Like I mentioned, there are huge level gaps where there is just nothing at all for players to craft for themselves. And it's not surprising that in these gaps is where you find Faction gear. I actually did a whole video where I broke down the entire crafting system and once you really start digging into it, you start to see real fast just how little there is to craft in NW compared to just about any other AAA MMO made in the last 15 years. If it wasn't for the fact that even the dungeons are gated behind a crap system where you have to use crafting to make the keys {or, most likely, buy the keys from the cash shop) just so you can even run a dungeon more than once, crafting would in my opinion be completely worthless. Were you able to look through all the possible perks in one of the menus during the expedition event? I think there was a way to see them all either in the trading post search menu or in the crafting special resource menu. It would be nice to start to understand what all can be changed with gear perks.
Hey, ty for the video! Question plz: *** Where do I find a station that will allow me to craft a "Life Staff" and also a "Fire Staff" if I am low level? I was only lvl 6 and didn't see anything except for a camp fire allowing me to make a sword. TY1 =)
@@davidfrisbie8216 if you’re in town, the crafting station is near the syndicate leader and should already be high enough to craft life and fire staves, plus ice gauntlets
Should I do quests, dungeons, what level should the monster have. In the preview it's was pretty much, corrupted portals, pvp mission loop or killing high-level enemys/bosses with a big group 30-40 player.
Color of gear have gs limits. For example you can craft items from 300-400gs. If you craft 390 gs item but without perks it will be white=common , if you craft 305 gs item but you got perk its become green=uncommon. From 325 gs it have chance to get gem slots. So if you got 325+ gs item with gem slots its become blue colour= Rare. So if you making tier 2 items for example iron sword its limited by 300 gs so you never create rare (blue one) iron sword because you need minimun 325 gs. I dont know next gs step for epic gear. Just played near 100 houts on cbt focusing on crafting. (sry for my english).
"What I call 'gear labels.'" What you are describing is an "affix," specifically a suffix. These have been around since at least Diablo and very likely earlier, but Diablo is the one that came to mind the fastest.
Hey Sir! Is it durable to craft gear to increase rare drop rate for mining, increase amount of pieces per mining etc ON the ARMOR like gloves, boots, suit in the game and if yes. How do we do it? I know we can do it on the "Tools" themself but I wounder if we can craft a complete "gathering set" for mining, lumberjack etc? Cheers!
I love this gem system. My only wish, is that gem slots are easier to get, and you can get the gems allowing int/foc as primary to be easier to get. Let people start leveling healers earlier!
Well you somehow did it. You got me excited for this game again. I honestly want to just be a crafter. Problem now is that I do not have a guild or anything.
How will the 'inventory management' apply to this game/system? i played the early start, and saw the 'storage sheds' and stuff, but it seems like with the expansion of the lifeskill system over the past 6-9 months, there are ALOT MORE crafting components.... if you want to do multiple tradeskills, how do you accommodate with a solo player, and what options are available? (increased storage? mules? etc).
You are able to increase your storage in a zone by leveling up your reputation with that zone, which happens passively as you do tasks and kill mobs within that zone.
@@asdeaj can you craft at the stations when materials are in storage? Are there “any” materials that do not go into your inventory itself? But into a sort of meta crafting tab that doesn’t impact inventory slots?
@@phesser411 There isn't a dedicated crafting storage atm. Crafting will automatically draw components from your storage, so they don't need to be kept on you.
if my faction owns a territory and i have my bank/storage in a settlement in that territory and it gets taken over by another faction...do i still have the items from that storage or are they lost/ i cant get them anymore until my faction claims that territory again?
Sorta. Each gathering and crafting is a separate skill, and you gain new recipes as you level those. But I don’t believe you get any specific passives, other than the tracking for gathering skills.
I can see another runescape game poping up. Thats nice and has deph in it, but with so many stuff and items, what about the trading system. How am i gonna get my woodcutting axe T4 if i dont want to lvl engeniering that high. Do you know if they are going to create a trading system or will it be like old runescape where you go to a famous town and spamm the sht out of it?
Would be interesting to see how this topic develops. Im okay with a trading post system as long as items dont leave the server. In this way people that want to restart on a fresh server can have that new player experience again (like you are playing a whole new game)
It feels like new world is just a high fidelity version of old school RuneScape, whilst I’m not the biggest fan of the mob art style and the medieval realism as opposed to the high fantasy were used to in most mmos I’m excited that this is just vanilla version of the game and can’t wait for the updates / new armour / mobs that hopefully will be included in future updates
Yo man long time no see hope all is well. One question I have for you when it comes to trophies the description states small moderate or large bonuses for them but what numerical number do they boots? For example if I have a rare armorsmithing trophy in my home will it boost my chance to create multiple of a craft does it boost my armorsmithing level like food does?
so how does your point allocation work? at end game do you essentially have to pick and choose between what you want to craft? Or do you get enough points to eventually specialize in everything?
Great video, can't wait to play the game. How viable is crafting? Especially in the endgame. Are people who only do PvP/PvE relying on crafters or can they simply get better equipment from drops? I'd love to heavily focus on crafting but I fear that I won't be selling much because others can just get equally good equipment from drops.
Will it be realistic to have all skills on 1 character? I mean thats a hell lot of materials. How much invetpry and bank space do we have? Is there a "crafting bag" like in ESO? Thanks!
Excellent overview for all professions. Now to find out, which gemstone socketed into your weapon converts your damage to Arcana, and what the secondary effect is. Does anyone know?

Really excellent guide thank you. I've been trying to figure out where the gems to socket came from!
Were you able to look through all the possible perks in one of the menus during the expedition event? I think there was a way to see them all either in the trading post search menu or in the crafting special resource menu. It would be nice to start to understand what all can be changed with gear perks.
Holy crap that's a lot to take in. Great video 👍
How do we get Pigments for Dye's. can you explain that
Hopefully they update the skil caps and add more tiers of resources.
There is like 10 ores but only 4 tree types
Somthing I been trying to find on crafting is which high end items are bind on pickup is it just the unique named items or?
Hey, ty for the video!
Question plz: *** Where do I find a station that will allow me to craft a "Life Staff" and also a "Fire Staff" if I am low level? I was only lvl 6 and didn't see anything except for a camp fire allowing me to make a sword. TY1 =)
Hmm.. in your video you says :Arcane Repository; can i get to a station at lvl 4 or 5 and craft them?
@@davidfrisbie8216 if you’re in town, the crafting station is near the syndicate leader and should already be high enough to craft life and fire staves, plus ice gauntlets
Nicely detailed video ...I will need to watch it a few times to digest it (Y)
thanks for the NW content. keep up the good work.
A video about:
The fastest way to level would be nice (tier list)
The fastest/easiest way to level up professions
would be nice
Should I do quests, dungeons, what level should the monster have.
In the preview it's was pretty much, corrupted portals, pvp mission loop or killing high-level enemys/bosses with a big group 30-40 player.
Is that Artyc ZyN the Gears of War pro from back in the day on the audio? Sounds just like him. Thanks good video
Loved it. Super concise! One month to go!
I cant figure out how to find prisma blooms for colored dye
Just take my sub! Very well put together guide! Thanks
Shew I might be to dumb for crafting! Lol Thats very in-depth.
Do the low level materials (for example iron ore) also drop as rare iron ore or epic iron ore, so we can craft rare or epic low level gear?
@@maxyasnuk1514 Thank you so much Max! Super hyped now. Loving what i see from the game
"What I call 'gear labels.'"
What you are describing is an "affix," specifically a suffix.
Let people start leveling healers earlier!
thanks a bunch for so many details you've showed us, I wish someday I can play this game with you
Well you somehow did it. You got me excited for this game again. I honestly want to just be a crafter. Problem now is that I do not have a guild or anything.
you dont really need one. When i played beta I ran around gathering and crafting for 150 hours solo and loved every moment to death.
yeah that was a wealth of information. Very good video much obliged.
did i overlook or did you not talk about jewelcrafting?
William Hesser when at a work station, the station will pull materials that you have in your storage in that specific town.
as always amazing video! thank you
if my faction owns a territory and i have my bank/storage in a settlement in that territory and it gets taken over by another faction...do i still have the items from that storage or are they lost/ i cant get them anymore until my faction claims that territory again?
Excellent video, +1 and subscribed!
Very interesting I think I will be doing crafting this game after watching 👀 this
Are there skill lines for crafting and gathering? And if so do the lines take away from character skill points like ESO does.
Where do I find or get t3 acana table
Is there a gear sink in the game ?
You don't have one in this game, you can just max out every crafting profession & weapon skill at any time. No restrictions there.
Great work! Thanks!)
Hi there,
I'm from Vila dos Mercadores channel
Good Job
congratulation
Are the storages in towns connected or is it if you put an item in one town you cant access it in another town?
You can view all your storages from any storage building, but you can only deposit and withdraw from the storage your are physically at.
Great video,
can't wait to play the game.
How viable is crafting? Especially in the endgame.
Are people who only do PvP/PvE relying on crafters or can they simply get better equipment from drops?
I'd love to heavily focus on crafting but I fear that I won't be selling much because others can just get equally good equipment from drops.
Will there be tier 1, 2 etc for gear? or just craft the best gear in the game? i would like to know how the gear loop is.
Tier I to V
Will it be realistic to have all skills on 1 character? I mean thats a hell lot of materials. How much invetpry and bank space do we have? Is there a "crafting bag" like in ESO? Thanks!
Excellent overview for all professions.
Now to find out, which gemstone socketed into your weapon converts your damage to Arcana, and what the secondary effect is.
Does anyone know?
omg best guide, i play NW only for gathering and crafting, thx for amazing guide
Anyone know how to get pigments to make dye?
Fantastic guide
bro no where on yt is there a guide to tell you how to level up the forge tier
Hello Sir Medieval,
I havent played New World yet, but i'll test it in upcoming beta but I have a question. Does bow (as a first main weapon) make sense while playing solo?
