Today... ooof.... today we hike up the Manitou Incline, or sometimes referred to as just... the incline. The Manitou Springs Incline, also known as the Manitou Incline or simply the Incline, is a popular hiking trail rising above Manitou Springs, Colorado, near Colorado Springs. Amazing endurance feats have been done there, like a record 22 times in 24 hours under 17 minutes to top and most impressive and dedicated feat 1825 times in one year. Hiked it last october slow and steady pace in 48 minutes not fast but I was 74 years old

Yes! I looked up some of the records set there and it is so impressive. Good on you though! You kicked my butt, I think it took me well over an hour!

I did it on Thursday. If I had seen this or the other videos before hand I might have passed. It is a hell of a workout, but not quite as daunting as some make it out to be.

Well good on ya for doing it! It is definitely in that realm of 'doable hikes' but more difficult than a normal flat hike. For real anyone reading this comment, water, water, water, and good shoes. Not impossible, just work.

Also it seemed to be more relaxed when we went as long as you went in the kind of off times? I think with Covid everyone's been kinda gauging it by interested. I hope that link helps.

I do believe they close it during icy conditions, although I think people have still done it with yaktrax.

Is there a Starbucks at the top?

I wish! An iced coffee would’ve hit the spot after that climb. But sadly no. There’s also no water fountain or any amenities at the top FYI so pack plenty of water!
