Liverpool 2019-20 XI: Where Were They 7 Years Ago?

- Опубликовано: 16 окт 2024
- From former Groningen star Virgil van Dijk to ex-Hoffenheim favourite Roberto Firmino, HITC Sevens takes a look at the current Liverpool FC squad and where each of Jurgen Klopp's players were seven years ago.
Would love to see a "Every country's Next Lionel Messi: Where are they now?" players like Bojan Krkic (Spain), Halilovic (Croatia), Rojas (New Zealand) etc. Doesn't have to be every country, but there are definitely a few players given that reputation that have ended up in interesting places.
Halilovic is still young, but he is old enough to say he won't be anything like even Modric. I reckon he'll start the team but he's never going to be world class.
Fun fact : the team he mentioned hasn’t started a game altogether this season
Not true at all, the XI started together 3 games straight: Tottenham away, Man U at home and Wolves away.
Sir. Mazzie no Adrian started
Rex Johnson no Alisson played the away game it was Fabinho who started instead of oxlade
Well that’s a lie
Liar
Do the best player from every Europa League team (19/20 season)
That'll be great!
Jack Napier that’s a great idea
@Yes
I think Podence is/was better for Olympiakos even though he left for Wolves
@Yes
Yes El Arabi and Valbuena are ridiculously productive. El Arabi has shown his effectiveness and Valbuena his class. To be honest though I prefer Fortounis over him because for some reason I never liked Valbuena. You are lucky to have great players this year(Like Tsiartas for example) and a great coach. It is not easy to find talented wingers as most of them would not come to Greece because the money and reputation are not as many as 15 years ago that Panathinaikos and Olympiakos were regularly in last16 of Champions League. Podence was an extremely lucky pick.
He should probably have 1 player per team of the last 16 of Europe League as for the start of the season in my opinion is it Champions League 3rd place or Europe League.
@Yes
Yes back then Panathinaikos had one of the best team in Europe and Olympiakos had one of the best attacks(unfortunately the defense was dreadful... If only there was a Melberg back then). I have faith at the manager he has made great job last summer and he hopefully find players that can be at least effective to his plan. I think you will probably only sell Tsintotas for a big amount and the rest would probably stay and raise their worth so he would be sold after the coronovirus crisis is over. Hopefully next year we will see you reach last 16 of the Champions League if the draw brings the Champion of Russia or Portugal as the top team.
I was expecting Southampton to be mentioned alot more 😏
You mean Liverpool B?
Clyne lallana VVD Mane
What is up with your name, bruh?

If it hasn't been done before: Milan 2010-11 and Dortmund 11-12 titles where are they now? Alternatively: first titles of the current Juventus era (11-12), Bayern era (12-13) or PSG era (12-13) where are they now?
I really enjoyed this video, thank you and keep up the great work 🙌
Start a series doing this for each Premier League club (2019/20)
chelsea would just be all youth team
I really like this format! Keep it going please Alfie :) I would like to see Dortmund or maybe Juventus next

Kinda sad how all the comments are just suggesting new videos instead of appreciating the great ones we get every day
no not really, we appreciate every video and just recommend videos that we would like to see
Valorizer Watt literally every comment is a video suggestion, nothing about the actual video
that doesn't mean people don't enjoy or appreciate the videos
Valorizer Watt i’m just saying if i ran the channel it would be better to get feedback/discussions in the comments instead of constant suggestions
well ur not running the channel

Virgil van dijk blijft altijd de super ster van Groningen TOP
Really like this format😁👍🏼
Good job 👏 for making it 11:11
Can you make a 23 man squad with one player per league like the irish guy did? Because no offense to the Irish guy but I think you would do it wayyy better
Haha, I had planned one with one player from every country but decided not to upload since I thought it was too similar after I saw the video on HITC Sport.
HITC Sevens I see, I atleast (can’t speak for everyone) would still watch your version tho
Fc Groningen my favorite club ever 💚💚 maybe it would be a good idea to do a video about them, they've had some amazing players. Van Dijk played there, it was luis suarez his first european club, robben began his career in groningen and some of the most well known scandinavian players played here like marcus berg and andreas granqvist

Do a video on where Liverpool’s team were on gerrards last game for example where van dijk was
you are britush and i cant wait nothing away from your references... but i feel you could do more for football. you mentioned more than 2 south america's national leagues players when you are were talking about agressiv and dirty players.. you can do that for football, you make real good videos and i would like to hear you talking about libertadores, sulamericana, campeonato argentino, brasileiro, colombiano, uruguaio, etc., as you keep sharing a lot about premier league.
its seems like footballers just become real players when they go to europe
7 best players who changed position mid career
Considering drastic position changes
Bale (LB to LW)
Ronaldo (winger to striker)
Rooney (ST to CAM)
Ramos (RB to CB)
Lahm/Kimmich (RB to CM)
Guerrero/Hakimi (fullback to attacking wingback)
Fabregas (CAM at arsenal to CM at chelsea
What do you think?
@@tushardeshpande97 CAM to CM happens for nearly every midfielder...
@@tushardeshpande97 you could add Messi winger to CF under Guardiola (made him play his best football in that position). Bale had a move to RW aswell. So his position change is probably the greatest. Giggs LM to CM to extend his career. Trent even if we include academy to first team position change went from CM to RB
Now thats a damn good idea!
Well done 👏

I quite like the orginial idea, comparing world class teams to eachother could be very intresting, I'd love a comparison between 2005 AC Milan vs 2020 Liverpool, who would win?
I completely agree with you. The problem is the nostalgia and most people just aren't objective enough. For example I watched Roy Keane picking Giggs over Mane even though Giggs only got like 3 goals the season they were comparing to so it was an absolute joke to watch. Also nostalgia because people tend to overrate former players compared to footballers still playing maybe because of the memories those players have given you or I don't know it just feels like that.
The Next Time with Chelsea pls

Video Idea: Players who have reached their Fifa Potential
Rafael Benitez final or first Chelsea XI where are they now?
I think Liverpool should be given the Premier League title. No club was going to come close to catching them. As far as relegation and promotion goes, I have an idea. I think there should be two-leg playoffs between each of the three bottom Premier League teams (Bournemouth, Aston Villa, and Norwich City) and the three top Championship League teams (Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion, and Fulham). I think that's a fair way to decide which teams will be in the Premier League and which teams will be in the Championship League. I don't believe you can really argue a club should be in the Premier League if they can't win a two-leg playoff against a Championship League club.
