As previously mentioned, he made a killing on selling the building. Making a fat profit on anything would make anyone happy. Also, being out on the water with personal watercraft with a pretty lady helps a lot with elevating someone's mood. John Ross is living the dream after grinding hard for years.
Loving the energy brother! I got rid of my garage and started doing projects back at home, since then I finished my motorcycle, tuned and completely restored my Cadi and my Daily (impala) has gotten more love than I care to admit, truly feel more motivated at home. And though I had to sweat for the money, feels good that I currently have no maintenance projects and can focus on upgrades across the board! Hope all is well :) so happy for you
Really nice seeing you spending just a little money and having a lot more fun (even if it is only one day). The fact you got such a deal with so little work needed is a huge change for you.
Definitely the best $500 you spent this year!! You're doing great this year with all the wonderful deals you've gotten this year.. at least 2022 is going well for someone!!! (sold your warehouse too!!!)
They're no big deal (especially old slow ones like these) just sit down and hammer the throttle. Starting out on a big open lake is nice so you can get used to having traffic around you later! 🍻
I used to ride these when I was a kid. Even learned to ride the stand up jet skis, and my uncle's race jet ski. There was a hybrid type system called the X2 and then his race version of that as well since he had both and both of these had side exit exhaust and they hauled butt. My uncle raced in the pro circuit for a few years and was even teammates with Vanilla Ice when he was racing.
Sometimes the cheap things are some of the best things. You got a pair of cheap jet skies, that not only ran from the get-go, they only took a minor bit of work to be sea worthy (and most of that work was on the trailer that they sit on)
If your carb is setup right and the gas is good they work. Rebuilt a Thermo Quad for my Dart and ran it like that 15 years before it needed another kit, and it mainly blew a fuel transfer tube O ring. Got it setup right and just drove it till it had a issue years later.
Awesome purchase and great fun! Highlight WatchJRGo video from season 2022. Good to see something different and you and your friend having a blast on the lake. Thank you.
You can have a real blast with those machines. The wr3 can be slung around with ease, the 701cc gp versions had a little more gusto but nothing to write home about.
I bought a '95 Polaris cheap a few years ago-the previous owner couldn't get it to run right. I found that the ethanol in the gas had rotted the fuel pickup lines in the gas tank. It ran great after I replaced them.
Awesome jet skis, they look better with the lady on them...more lady! I have to say you appear to have more fun since the sale. Keep doing you JR. More lady please!
This summer I revived my dads old 90's Yamaha 750 SS and had to delete the external oil tank as the pump had given up the ghost (a common issue). I just run pre-mix now. I also found the old aluminum impeller had some heavy cavitation and rock chip scars so I got a Stainless steel Solas with a longer progressive pitch and picked up over 10 mph to an eye watering 43 mph...../ lol, it's hard to really kill those old skis unless they have been oil starved and those old oil pumps that have been sitting are just little time bomb's waiting to go off!
I not doubting JR's abilities. But I seriously was expecting 1 or both of them to sink because the drain plugs weren't installed. My neighbors kid did that with a 93 Sea-Doo. Considering $500 came with the trailer, that was his best purchase of the year.
Haha, I did that once, I won’t do it again! The ski started slowing down and I couldn’t figure it out, opened the seat, saw the water, then wide open all the way to the trailer 😂
$500 well spent! Especially considering you'll make that back easily when you sell them. Basically free fun. (Yeah, yeah of course gas and oil and launch fee blah blah...) That was for people that thought I wasn't aware. So, sell them for $600 and it was free fun. 👍
We used to anchor milk jugs in the lake and made a race track. / slalom course. It WAS FUN racing our Jet skis !!!!! and yes we did crash into each other a few times.. But still great fun.. Costs us a lot~~!
@@WatchJRGo It's just great to see you both out there having some fun. I can't tell you how many thousand (in Australian dollars) my brother spent and how careful he had to be with costings and design to have a single trailer built. But later, he was the accountant in the jet ski shop. They put a bigger pump on one of the first of the Kawasaki ×2s, and took it out on the Swan River in Perth near the ski jump and found they were easily pulling away from a jet ski with really big carbs. They knew exactly how big they were because they had put them on! The boss and he looked at each other - and two weeks later he won the (Amateur) National Title in Wyalla. Of course, the Open Title was won by a professional from you know, guess where?
How cold was that water? Or was this filmed when it was warmer out? Seems like it’s been a bit too cold to be out on the water here in SC for at least a month now. Or at least my pool is too cold. Anyway, yeah that was a great investment for $500, and assuming they don’t get frozen and cracked over the winter, hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy them for all of next summer!
That's about the right load for a Ford. Alex at Legitstreetcars couldn't even rent a UHaul trailer with his F150 Lightning. Alex Jones said Hoovie couldn't go over 30 mph with his new EV Lightning while pulling a toy truck.
Now that you've experienced a Yamaha Wave Runner with a 650 engine, next up is the 700, then the 760, or make the jump to an 1100 or 1200. The 1200 is "hang on for dear life" when you pin that throttle. All of these are 2 strokes, and cheap. Once you cross into the four stroke line, you're looking at serious money for anything with half decent performance.
A $500 pair of jet skis, a $400 Escalade interior, a $9,000 Porsche Boxster, you're on a roll JR! What a deal on all of them!
Buying all the deals right now (and selling them as fast as they come) 💯
@@WatchJRGo we really don't want a RUclips channel " watch jr go broke"
@@derekrogers3426 don’t worry, that one’s not coming
@@WatchJRGo We call that "Hoovie's Garage"
You seem way less stressed since getting rid of the building. Seem like you have a lot more fun.
He sold it for a massive profit. He now has more robust bank balance than he usually do. Thus the smiley face.
In the wise words of Daniel tosh, I’ve never seen someone frowning on a jet ski 😂
As previously mentioned, he made a killing on selling the building. Making a fat profit on anything would make anyone happy. Also, being out on the water with personal watercraft with a pretty lady helps a lot with elevating someone's mood. John Ross is living the dream after grinding hard for years.
Having 10k a month less overhead to worry about would do that to someone
I think he finally got a girlfriend....
The old smiling fun JR is back! Now for the climax would be a video with Jr. Sr. and a tractor. Keep up the awesome content 😃
From this side of the screen, it certainly looked like the best $500 purchase you have made this year! Fun video!
Kinda envious that you guys still have lake weather 😄 these two jetski’s are an awesome buy

This was tons of fun, best video in a while- loved the camera angles! Congrats!

Nice to see JR having fun, good buy now lets see them fixed up a bit more for Summer.

You can check gas right under the hood latch , ! I love my TS! Best ski iv ever had !!
had the same TS 650...that thing was boring, but still have a 1989 SX650 that runs like a champ! Best and most reliable engines!
This is awesome. It makes me want to ride a jetski since I have always been afraid of them. Truly a steal for $500. I would definitely keep them.
They're no big deal (especially old slow ones like these) just sit down and hammer the throttle. Starting out on a big open lake is nice so you can get used to having traffic around you later! 🍻
Those are slow. And he's on a nice calm lake. I know people who do that in the open ocean with much more powerful craft. Not for me.
The new ones are fast af!!
@@WatchJRGo since your a car guy see if you can get any upgrade parts for the old motors
Boat ramps can definitely be fun to watch. Especially at the beginning of the season.
Look up credit card captain
The Yamaha 650/701 platform has got to be the most relible jetskis engine platform ever made, they are like tanks, and simple to overhual when needed.
$500, no issues, and a day of fun out with the gf....best money spent in a LONG time.

The best $500 you spent was actually only the $400 for the complete Denali interior but the two jet skiis for $500 is a close second.
This goes to show you don't need to spend alot to get out and have fun. Those machines have a few good seasons left in them.
Sometimes the cheap things are some of the best things. You got a pair of cheap jet skies, that not only ran from the get-go, they only took a minor bit of work to be sea worthy (and most of that work was on the trailer that they sit on)
They performed so well, I think when the new shop is up and running, they should get a full rebuild.
I agree with you 100%!
there are wraps for the waverunner 3 that make it look nice
I'm telling you if some other youtubers can do it, JR can kill it making these better! They already run great!
Every one of your videos, I get to know you a little better JR. Definitely a guy I'd hang with thanks for all the great content.
Looked like more than $500 worth of fun!
Oooh boy, the jet boats are back, bet they do fine, watching now. 👍
I was not expecting them to do fine, I've had 500 terrible experiences with carb'd jet skis 😬
If your carb is setup right and the gas is good they work. Rebuilt a Thermo Quad for my Dart and ran it like that 15 years before it needed another kit, and it mainly blew a fuel transfer tube O ring. Got it setup right and just drove it till it had a issue years later.

I’m happy you were able to validate the “no left turns” feature of the TS! - Lots of memories!
Really good deal on the jet skis. Good show.
You make me want to get my Kawasaki 550 out of winter storage and go for a ride. 👍
Getting cold quick, I didn't think I'd have many more chances 💯
Great buy. Picked up 2 polaris this year for a grand and had a blast
Both of those are real champs
Great jet ski purchase
Those old toilets ran surprisingly well!
What a fantastic Deal!! I can't believe both of them run so well!!

Awesome buy you got there !!! Whomever you purchased them from did a great job taking care of them ...
another great video from JR. thanks
I remember riding around on that type of JetSki in Baja Mexico in the 80s.
They actually look like they rip for what they are. Such a score. I'd restore the seats and keep em. They don't build em like they used too.
Teh Falcon true the actual build them way better and faster with much better over performance now. Not at all like they used to.
When will we hear of new shop? Great vids in the meantime!
Still waiting on the bank 🍻
@@WatchJRGo definitely understandable! I just bought my first house, the banks can take foreverrrrr

One of your best buys. Keep up the great channel.
That was amazing, they seemed to run very well! Well worth the money!
Looks like great fun for $500.!!
U need to shave the the bump stop on the handlebars on the TS
What a win! $500, an hour on the lake on didn’t take in any water..awesome! One question though….
Honestly, you scored. Two running psw for 500 bucks...sure they are old and slow, but still fun anyway. New ones are like 10-20k now lol.
That was a great $500 well spent!
Boot ramps are so entertaining, grab a couple of beers and free entertainment

Welcome to the channel, girlfriend. Boys y'all act like gentlemen and treat her nicely.
I will give ya a Grand for em. Excellent VIDEO.
Go fast, turn right.👍
My first time on a jet ski, I almost went over the handlebars when I let off full throttle. 🤣

All the old skis have a “slow car fast” thing going on. Anyone can ride them on a ragged edge without doing too much damage.
These jet skies kinda cool.
Jr are these for sale? I live close in kc
Welcome to LaunchJRGo.
Looks like you both had fun even though they are old and slow.
Great investment. Let's see how long you actually keep them.
That looks like a lot of fun for little money. I feel weird now because I live in Florida and never rode a jet ski.
The best fun is cheap fun🤙
Can you correct the "no left turn" situation? $500 VERY well spent! 👍👍👌👌
