One of my favorite Diesel Trucks. The Big Horn. Sad times during the gas shortage. Killed lots of things including the american sedan and the boogie van and the muscle car.
The 1973 gas crisis didn't kill the muscle car. The Clean Air Act of 1970 lowered octane and mandated smog compliance which became more stringent year over year. My friends uncle had it and used it on runs to haul scrap anyway I want to get one of the L series medium duty trucks that look like the A100 trucks of the 60's since I know the big L's are like hen's teeth and expensive as hell anymore
There was a guy running a Dodge 800
As I was trying to say this guy had a Dodge 800 with the big floater tires on it hauling milk into AMPI in Rochester MN. It wasn't pretty but it was Awesome. Another gentleman had a big horn with a sleeper hauling moormans feeds out of Quincy IL. Very cool truck. Time period on these trucks was early 80s
Sweet! Thanks for watching.
I have heard over the years that Dodge quite building big trucks at about the same time International Harvester quite building pickups and Scouts. That there was some sort of mutual agreement between the two companies. Is that true?
I really don't Russ. I think the competion really was the issue but not an expert on the subject.
BIG YELLOW .
More one dream
I put thousands of miles on one back in the late 60's & early 70's but I have no idea what happened to it.
Would he sell the Tanker truck?
I believe it’s his neighbors that he’s fixing up for. You can find him though on Facebook, “Bob Parminder” Canfield Ohio.
CM. Works this the address

It does not look like this dude is ever going to get that truck on the road ever

As much as my love for trucks rings true since childhood old and new big reason I became a driver the Dodge coes in my opinion have to be some of the ugliest coes ever made but that's just me talking now on the other hand the Big Horns are actually pretty cool looking.
Ugly makes unique lol. Thanks for watching!
