Very cool! I remember listening to this back in the 80s (as sung by Elton) thinking, "One day, when The Wall is down, I will hear Russians crooning to the likes of this..." And sure enough.
("Russians" was a generic euphemism at the time for referring to peoples from the former USSR ...Of course! I am aware this was performed by people from Belarus ;-)
