Difference between Trent Robinson and Bellamy's coaching is Trent needs to buy established players like Brandon Smith, Dominic Young, Spencer Leniu and Chad Townsend while Bellamy buys castoff cheap buys like Shawn Blore, Eli Katoa, Nick Meaney, develops Tyran Wishart, Jonah Pezet and turns them into quality first graders.
I wouldn't say that is 100%, but yea the trend is that way.
There all Football players at the end of the day so what are you on about
The game is the game bro 🤷♂️
They are unknown to you but he buys everyone's best juniors and isn't so great either

Victor Radley
Siua Wong
Sandon Smith

All Debuted With The Roosters.
The others like JWH, Keary, Crichton & JWH were no where near established with there Debut clubs when the Roosters brought them in & they are long serving players for the Roosters to
Even though I’m a diehard rabbits fan all i gotta say is, what a career JWH an absolute monster on the field! What a career.
Yeah, good for you mate, it is what it is.
No way jwh is that on 55ok
Um 750 + 700 + 550 + 750 = 2750 not 2950. Then they change Keary to 900 next time they put up the graphic. Well done fox.
Can't even get there maths right lol.
Gordo been crunchin those numbers for an hour before this 🥴
Love how these journalists don’t think it’s appropriate that there’s transparency in salaries, but think it’s above board that they do whatever underhanded tactics they can to get a story out of these same players.
Jwh on 550k... he's the best of the bunch
Do u belive his on that money his definitely on way more
I'd rather a half decent up and coming junior than jwh.Overrated as and costs more games through penalties and sin bins than he wins the past 3 years excluding this one
Well thank god your not a coach then ay@@damonmlinaric9254
@@yousefaili6736 was on a lot more . Not a 36 year old jarred though I’d say it’s about right
@damonmlinaric9254 our win loss ratio with and without him says otherwise
Why is rugby league so adamant on being backwards. All the other major competitions have public salaries.
The nrl could create so much content for themselves when it comes to signings and player movement. U see it with the transfer window in soccer, see it in the NFL and NBA with free agency. All contracts public knowledge too. The amount of content and money u could make off the back of it is heaps.
No names, privacy and all that but they could put up the total each club is spending, including the nrl sanctioned third party payments.
@@dubbkenobby6542Meh, the salary cap is overrated. 3rd party payments aren't capped and Nick Politis has the best connections for players.
because the nrl is crooked
Cant even give your juniors a chance, roosters really good at buying players
@jstilnot really, chooks will be buying players for the rest of the clubs years, Spencer left because he gave a chance to the juniors to come in, don't see roosters doing that anytime soon🤣🤣
I swear they poach more Broncos juniors like Sam Walker than go with their own.
So what there smart the other looser teams are to dumb to catch on
Manu , b. Smith , Collins , butcher brothers , whyte , may , Wong , tupou , Sandon smith literally more then half of there 30 man squad made there debut with the roosters a lot more then most clubs
Your point doesn’t have merit
@@danielkelly4487 you don't know what a 'junior pathway' is. half that list didn't come up through the roosters junior development program
Do the Rooster have a salary cap?
No.
Did you watch the video? Clearly no.
NO, we dont need one.
@@allanpendrick420nm8 lolololol
Of course braith doesn't want players salaries being public knowledge. The rest of us would be super interested to know accurately what player X is on on. Would make for more accurate reporting and less hearsay.
Help him and his player management team aswell 😂😂
He doesn’t want his Fox colleagues knowing how much more he’s getting than them either 😂😂
@@imalwaysrightBraiths salary wouldn’t be made public as he doesn’t play. Hope this helps
Why tf do you have any right whatsoever to know what somebody’s salary is ya peanut…
Staggs isn't leaving the Broncos. He might be from NSW but he's been with the Bronx since he was 19 and he loves the club.
Money talks mate

JWH is getting looked after, don't you worry. The last sombrero they bought was bigger than the ones Braith was under....
As the years go by the Roosters jumior clubs and comp is getting smaller.
I know it might sound like drinking poison but I can see into the future a Souths and Easts
amalgamation
As long as chooks keep their strong ties with the central coast they'll be fine, plenty of juniors they pull from that as well as through to their women's team as well
Whatever you are smoking, get me an ounce. 😃
Wash your mouth out and check yourself. NEVER EVER.
@@allanpendrick420nm8
Wonder what Cootey would say about it.
With the Roosters roster they have they should be dominating the competition. Imagine the Roosters under a coach like Bellamy, Bennet or Ciraldo.
Don't they all have the same budget? Whole of bulldog rebuild was on buying players. Melbourne and Penrith are the one which runs out of budget with home grown players.
A club needs to fix their own backyard before throwing stones at others. Richo needs to own the mess he is in and not blame others for it.
Richo is there to fix it but his players keep getting poached. If wests made the biggest offer then why did Stefano go? Blore last year ....
Are these guys living in lala land and treating the fans and the public like gooses.
What is on the books etc stating what they are being paid is different from what they
are actually getting via brown paper bags, cars or whatever,
If everything was above board that 2.9 million surplus at the Roosters would be zero if all was revealed. :Politis has been cheating the salary cap since he has been there.

Roosters and salary cap😂😂😂😂😂😂
Players will move to a higher performing club for less money, because if they're successful at that better club they can get extra cash from rep footy and sponsorship deals ect.
My understanding is that, each club is meant to spend 95% of their salary cap on the players, there is leeway, so all the players in the league are getting good money, it's just which club is winning at the time they want to go there.
In the case of the Panthers, it was probably the market value that actually forced players to leave against their will.
I think it should be 75% of the cap payed to players, then 5% like usual to the other stuff, then 20% should be allowed to accumulate for two years on top of each accumulation then 10% the next year on already accumulated cap.
This will open the cap up and let clubs not doing so well have some strike power in their deals.
Salaries should be public!
@@allanpendrick420nm8 mmm not sure mate. I don’t think it’s that deep. Publish the salaries, cut out the media rumour mill. Focus on the footy. I think it’d be better for the game but you’re entitled to your opinion!
Joey Manu is not coming back next year😂
Yea I don't know y he said that
Yea he’s publicly said he’s going to try make the All Blacks side so he definitely ain’t coming back next year.
Wouldn’t say definitely been a rumor since he singed that he will be back next year .

Just put up the total spend of each club, the salary cap and the third party payments sanctioned by the nrl. $11.25 million is the cap but how much is really being spent.
We know what most people on awards are paid but hey we are only the people who buy tickets and pay your wages by consuming media.
After Origin Roosters ran Lenui and Collins on off the bench. Two Origin stars. Contrast with Dogs who have a lock and newby as actual starting props. It really gives context.
Context to what ? 😂😂 bulldogs are nowhere near roosters , panthers and storm
Yeah I didn't realise just how stacked the roosters side was this year until after origin. They'd wanna make sure they win it this year tbh.
@@danielkelly4487They're 5th and have a win over the roosters this year, lost to Penrith by 6 and Melbourne by a conversion with half the talent of all 3 of those sides. Wtf are you on about?

When does Wishart come off contract?
Ah yes they have a lot of money because …….cooper Cronk retired. Hold on they used that excuse for the last seven signings.
Has any coach in living memory had to lose the amount of talent every year like Cleary has since even before the 2020 grand final, and still makes 4 grand finals in a row. No wonder Foxsports and News Corp keep on yapping about Belly because they fully well know, as everyone else does in this sport, that Cleary is the greatest coach ever lived.
No bottomless pits of money like Brisbane, Roosters and Melbourne, and like the no-salary cap of the 1960s Dragons era. Yet Penrith are simply plowing their way through the history books and proving you don't need to be complete cheats and f/wits to be successful in our sport.
We really need to hear more about what Dean Ritchie thinks. Just look at his sporting pedigree &, to top it off, he still maintains the physique of an elite athlete. His opinions are unbiased &, when something triggers him, he is quick to move on without holding any bitterness or grudges 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i’ve heard some yarn it’s Mr Braith who took the photo of Latrell
Players salaries being made public would not bother the Roosters, most players get the brown paper bag under the table at that club.
You can tell anyone what salary they are getting, but what are they getting around the back door?
With the salary cap it is up to the management to get the right people and combinations in, look at the Bulldogs they brought in the right people, same when Des coached there, it need up a mess but they made two Grand Finals.
They are not getting kotoni, he is staying at Bronx
That’s not how you look at their salary cap. It’s player rotation. Roosters have many good players coming through especially in the forwards. That money is to keep those players by upping their contracts.
They should be throwing money at Harry Grant who is outta contract at the end of the season
No chance
They’re gonna go for Mitchell Moses
Roosters won't reveal salary cap, because they have 2. one that they show to the NRL and one they show the players.
What about the third one they dont show you.
The fan has no right to know what someone is paid. If the Tigers spend their salary cap on lessor players then don't pay them the full salary cap if they aren't worth it. Build a war-chest of money and then pay overs to build a team. Its not rocket science people.
Jwh is on 700k last ive seen for 2024.
There’s just not enough talent to go around.Thats why it seems silly to me to be extending the number of teams. Some of the teams are not worth watching now,so when the talent is stretched even further the game will weaker still.
Blore had all the talent in the world. He’s been talked about since well shifts he hit first grade. He’s not buying plebs and making them elite. He’s buying talent from poor clubs and puts them in a good system. Same reason all the juniors from panthers that come through play good footy. Talented kids in good systems. It’s not rocket science.
Only if Brisbane don't raise the price of Sam Walker to 1.5
Adam Reynolds will go to Roosters. The young kid's dream fulfilled: Southern suburbs to East Coast Bondi paradise. it's everyone's dream, even if youre not from anywhere near there. RIP 1968.
WE WANT 16
Braith doesn't want the salaries to be exposed because it will exposed the extras passed from under the table.
Why do people think Manu is coming back? Maybe do your research and watch his vlogs and the last podcast he was on , he’s pretty set on challenging himself in Union
FFS can you stop talking over the top of each other
Braithwaite has a vested interest as a player manager and Tallis broke a contract to chase money
Dominic Young outside center.
So, what are you blokes on, publish your wages etc , none of any ones business what the players are being paid, between the clubs and the managers/players
How funny, this segment was scripted by Politis. “I want u to not talk about the fact we still have 9 players from the 2019 GF squad, compared to the Storm only having 5 plyrs from the 2020 GF squad. plus we bought Leniu, Cheese, Young, Suaalii, Watson. Also don’t talk about the fact Trent can’t do what Bellamy did and develop players to replace, he’ll need to buy them bcos he can’t develop plyrs”
I don’t think most of them are on big money, maybe smith but that’s about it
Dominic young outside center.
Spent 10 min talking about how much money the roosters can spend and getting Staggs. Then, oh the calamity if Melbourne get a player from the Tigers. Sydney flogs!
No one cares what journos make so it's a poor example. Player wages are different, it is a way of judging your club's management and holding them more accountable (if that's even possible).
Buy Herbie farmsworth
Also need to think long term
Who is going to replace teddy
It's easy when the salary cap isn't scrutinized, even then, they can't buy another premiership.
Increase the cap to $100,000,000:00! Get BIG or get out! 🤩👍
This is a nonsensical conversation, as usual. Every team gets the same cap. Surely anyone can work out why some teams have better recruitment and retention than others. No top tier talented player wants to stay at a poorly run/managed/facilitated basket case club for more than 2 years, unless they are getting MASSIVE overs the following years. Or they leave for unders to try and win a comp. Rise and repeat.
lol roosters have that squad because they get free houses
They could fit Mitch Moses in ,I'm sure😅
The injury prone player. I would not sign him ever
Mitch will decide to take a huge pay cut because they all get extras under the table with property and media deals for themselves and family members
