Luke! I and I know many love this. Your teachings help! Continue with this. Also consider exploring Bart Sears. Another comic artist with strong portraits of characters
Mate, great video! Instant subscriber here. This takes me back to drawing and reading all the early 90's Image books. Extreme Studios had such an amazing amount of energy and rawness.
Thanks mate👍🏻 Absolutely - Extreme were the powerhouse of comic book action in the 90’s and I’m hoping today’s artists can still learn from them, as the Image guys are still the Masters, even 30 years on😃👍🏻
Just found your channel (and subscribed!) Amazing content! I hope Bart Sears is on your list? I have his drawing books (and grew up on his Wizard column), and I would love to see you break down his style.
@@lukespowerart Awesome! I did see almost immediately after posting my comment someone else requested the same. I guess when it comes to the top power comic artists many of us are in agreement. Stylistically he's very different than the render-heavy artists you have featured, but the way he draws muscles and poses (and faces!) Is just so powerful and REALLY draws the eye in. I think Eclipso (from DC Comics) and the character design and packaging art he did for a late 80s toyline/cartoon called C.O.P.S. is where I first fell in love with his style. But I think the late 90s X-O Manowar stuff (issues 44-65 of Vol. 1) where he was delivering the art bi-monthly (leap-frogging issues with studio-mate and stylistic close [whose work I also love] Andy Smith) is peak Bart Sears.
@@RarebitFiends wow! I didn’t realise he was linked to the COPS cartoon from the 80’s, that was a great cartoon👍🏻 But yeah he’s a very line strong artist as opposed to render strong. His brutes and babes articles in Wizard magazine were very good so was XO Manowar. Thanks for filling me in, appreciate it😃👍🏻
Very good! This year I believe I will evolve a lot, thanks to your videos and tips. Thanks!
Thanks Paulo, I’d be keen to see your art later in the year, once you’ve had some time to add some of my tips to your art arsenal😃💪🏼
@@lukespowerart Are you going to create a group on facebook? It would be really cool! I'll send you my progress yes.
@@MrPaulowillians Cool idea - I’ll look into it👍🏻
Great finale to the Stephen Platt series. Looking forward to seeing Fist of the Northstar. Keep up the great content dude!
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the series👍🏻 Fist of the North Star is going to be fun💪🏼😃
@@lukespowerart Heck yeah it is!

Crypt was such a cool character, wasn't around long enough.
