Greetings from the 1/6 Jagtpanther guy from Facebook. Nice build and looks good via driving. How is it to turn on grass with you're belt drive, do it slip sometimes?
Aloha JagdPanther guy! 🍻 The belt drive is good and the track links are strong but I broke one weld on the drive shaft. 😄 I fixed the weld and it was good to go again. The KV needs some work but over all, I'm very happy with it.
@Hagbergscorner there's a guy Spiker I think is his name, he makes them out of delrin, pretty tough stuff but difficult to work with Metal should be the first option, but they're expensive as hell in 1/6, especially the tough alloy ones
@Cormano980 I'm about to start learning to cast aluminium. I think that would be a good way to go when making tracks. I have a Swedish IKV-91 project and I wanna have cast tracks on that one.
In Russian: Tishe edesh, dal'she budesh. "The quieter the ride, the further the travel". An old proverb.
Nice! I thought it translated into "The slower you go, the further you get". But either way it suits the tank. 😄
it looks awesome Martin, you will get the wheels sorted and then it will be perfect
Thank you! Yep, no problemo. 😁
looking awesome!
Thank you. I wish it ran as good as it looks. 😄 I'm sorting it out. The wheels are not aligned.
Ståtlig pjäs 😊
Tackar! 👌🍻
Ok. Sold! My next project!!
Go for it! 👌 It's a big tank and fun to drive.

Ok now I really want an RC tank
Happy to be an inspiration. 👍 You should build one.
Den klarar terrängen bra 👍👍
Tack Hans. 👌
Martin, is that Russian text on the turret? What does it say? Your KV-2 is a Beast, and it looks great roaming around outside.
Thank you sir! Yes it is and it says: the slower you go, the further you'll get. Kinda perfect for this tank. 😁
@Hagbergscorner LOLLLL!!!!! I read its top speed is 15 MPH and only 7.5 MPH off road. It's massive and the German tanks were no match against it.
Bello
Mille grazie.
Are the traks holding well to off road use ? How's the wear on them
They seems to be very strong but I think they wear fast on gravel. Solution is to stay on grass. 😉

@Hagbergscorner it's a very tedious job and you'll need to mix it with different metals, aluminium alone is not gonna last long
