I think Rare Beauty are one of the rare “influencer” brands that don’t rely on the influencer to sustain the brand. I think long after Selena is gone, Rare Beauty will thrive. As will Fenty Beauty. I think that is why everyone loves about those 2 brands- it isn’t some trendy thing, u can tell that a lot of thought has gone into creating great product. I love everything she’s done.

I've been on meds for 20 years for depression, and it's so refreshing to hear a celebrity talk candidly about their experiences.
It really needs to happen like this more often! Of course Selena is such comfortable person, so she should be the standard for how you have to behave to become famous! The young ones need role models like these two 24/7! ✨🔮💖
Yes, I absolutely agree. I’ve been on medication for a little over 20 years and I’m still on it, I’ve always been very open and I use a lot of humor to explain things so I’ve been way more accepted by people, (I have been very lucky, I know that) those that have been against it, we’ve pretty much said that we would “agree to disagree” lol but yes, it can be very hard to explain it. People can be sooo very judgmental but I’ve seen a LOT of more acceptance in the past like years, it’s FINALLY coming out into the light, I think that more people have unexpectedly gone though their own issues and it’s realized then how very real mental health is and YES, a lot of times we NEED help! Anyhoo, I haven’t even started this video but I seen the top comments and got myself “some feelings” on the subject lol!! Have a great week to everyone, and of course, Robert!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I remember when her line got so much shade but man, it is one of my top brands. Her line is up there with Fenty to me. Her foundation is BOMB, weightless for real. I LOVE her liquid blush and her liquid highlighter gives the PERFECT glow!! I want to try her eyeshadows. I’ll give her bronzer a pass because I have enough in my collection. I hope her and her line continues to be successful ❤️

@@RobertWelsh No- it’s completely natural to sniff things! When you’re putting something on your face it matters a lot if it smells nice or nasty. Also, it’s a way of telling if something’s gone bad before you can actually see any difference, so again perfectly sensible. Keep sniffing !💜🖤💜
😂😂 It's okay, Robert, I creepily smell stuff too. Once I picked up a shirt in whole foods and sniffed it without thinking. I made supper awkward eye contact with an employee the second I got the shirt up to my nose. I've been self conscious about smelling stuff ever since. 💀🤣
I admit, her being so sweet and open makes me more likely to try her products. I think more and more people want to be able to trust they're supporting good brands and companies instead of the ones we've come to learn are problematic. I really appreciate her being so open about her mental health too. There's still so much stigma! I was actually fired from a job I desperately needed when they found out I'm on meds for my depression! When others are open about it, especially well known, loved, and respected people, it helps normalize it making things easier for people like me who have to stay on the meds to live.

OH MY GOD. Between your brother and Selena, I only have "safe" makeup and skin care that doesn't send me into a reaction or idiopathic anaphylaxis because of her makeup Line and your brother's videos! I have even been able to make the old scarring disappear almost completely, after years of failure and delayed healing related to my connective tissue disorder and autoimmune disease. Prior to Selena's products, i couldn't wear ANY makeup except mascara. She totally gave me a bit more freedom against my chronic illnesses and to be a "normal" girl for once! This absolutely made my week! (I found you thanks to YT recommended videos suggesting your review of "Rare" under one of your brother's videos)
I am 'older' so these creme products are so inclusive of people with skin challenges, it's really great to hear that you are able to enjoy a fuller make up experience. I haven't tried anything yet because I'm in the UK, but I look forward to it, that comment you made was very reassuring 😊
@@beckyenglish4783 her line is SUPER allergy sensitive! Like I barely even get the normal dermatographia I'd get from other products, and using her brushes with her product almost completely eliminates the dermatographia risk entirely! Can't recommend it enough!
@@raspberrybellini she has lupus and struggled with a lot of the same skin changes that occur somewhat drastically with the disease. I don't have lupus, but similar skin rashes and cigarette scarring/atrophic scarring happens with my autoimmune conditions as with lupus. So I think she mightve made products that helped others with lupus, and in return , they worked for other inflammatory topically- involved disease like atopic dermatitis/eczema, rocesa, psoriasis, and sensitive skin. I imagine it'd be just as lovely on your skin as well!
I have RA with plaque psoriasis and also mental health C-PTSD so my whole heart wants to try this line of products. I'm so happy to hear you have been able to use these without issues. I am looking forward to trying the cream blush. What are your favorite products?

The mascara is by far the BEST thing I ever bought makeup wise . I have the foundation, blush, liquid highlighter and mascara and while all are amazing and easy to use the mascara works so well. It’s black, not clumpy, and doesn’t rub/fall off when my lashes bump my glasses! My old fav was the 2 faced BTS but it fell off in chunks after an hour.

I have big props for Selena, she was in the zombie movie The dead don't die with Bill Murray, Iggy Pop, Tilda Swinton and I GAGGED when I saw her in the movie especially as Jim Jaramusch is my favourite director too. After I saw this video, I went online to buy Rare Beauty products. I fell in love with them. It will definitely become one of my favourite brands. I was scared to buy concelear without trying it, but I went on their website and they recomended a certain shade, so I got it and it matches PERFECTLY.

The mascara is absolutely amazing! I got a little one from Sephora and immediately went and got the bigger size it’s so good! I also love the foundation! It is very light weight and perfect for me because I don’t like heavy make up. I’m not confident in my ability to apply blush yet so I haven’t really worn the one I bought but I love the color!

I admit, her being so sweet and open makes me more likely to try her products. I think more and more people want to be able to trust they're supporting good brands and companies instead of the ones we've come to learn are problematic.
I really appreciate her being so open about her mental health too. There's still so much stigma! I was actually fired from a job I desperately needed when they found out I'm on meds for my depression! When others are open about it, especially well known, loved, and respected people, it helps normalize it making things easier for people like me who have to stay on the meds to live.

OH MY GOD. Between your brother and Selena, I only have "safe" makeup and skin care that doesn't send me into a reaction or idiopathic anaphylaxis because of her makeup Line and your brother's videos! I have even been able to make the old scarring disappear almost completely, after years of failure and delayed healing related to my connective tissue disorder and autoimmune disease. Prior to Selena's products, i couldn't wear ANY makeup except mascara. She totally gave me a bit more freedom against my chronic illnesses and to be a "normal" girl for once! This absolutely made my week!

@@beckyenglish4783 her line is SUPER allergy sensitive! Like I barely even get the normal dermatographia I'd get from other products, and using her brushes with her product almost completely eliminates the dermatographia risk entirely! Can't recommend it enough!
@@raspberrybellini she has lupus and struggled with a lot of the same skin changes that occur somewhat drastically with the disease. I don't have lupus, but similar skin rashes and cigarette scarring/atrophic scarring happens with my autoimmune conditions as with lupus. So I think she mightve made products that helped others with lupus, and in return , they worked for other inflammatory topically- involved disease like atopic dermatitis/eczema, rocesa, psoriasis, and sensitive skin.
I imagine it'd be just as lovely on your skin as well!
I have RA with plaque psoriasis and also mental health C-PTSD so my whole heart wants to try this line of products. I'm so happy to hear you have been able to use these without issues. I am looking forward to trying the cream blush. What are your favorite products?

The mascara is by far the BEST thing I ever bought makeup wise . I have the foundation, blush, liquid highlighter and mascara and while all are amazing and easy to use the mascara works so well. It’s black, not clumpy, and doesn’t rub/fall off when my lashes bump my glasses! My old fav was the 2 faced BTS but it fell off in chunks after an hour.

I have big props for Selena, she was in the zombie movie The dead don't die with Bill Murray, Iggy Pop, Tilda Swinton and I GAGGED when I saw her in the movie especially as Jim Jaramusch is my favourite director too. The mascara is absolutely amazing! I got a little one from Sephora and immediately went and got the bigger size it’s so good! I also love the foundation! It is very light weight and perfect for me because I don’t like heavy make up. I’m not confident in my ability to apply blush yet so I haven’t really worn the one I bought but I love the color!

Both of you (and James) are such amazing human beings 🖤 as someone with many chronic, painful and mental health issues, I do t know how she had the strength to do such a huge thing! I used to own a store in my town and it killed me, but it was fun. Now I'm able to continue my business when I want to, but I mainly homeschool my 8 year old. Selina is such an inspiration and I hope many youngsters realize that!
I also love how she didn't rush the call. That says a lot too.
