One of my dogs used to be extremely reactive to the point I would get emotional and feel defeated. But when that trainer says “this isn’t as bad as what I’ve seen” it SUCH a relief! Java’s got it!
Omg yes! Some days I feel so defeated but I have so much hope! Especially knowing they’ve seen worse!

Hey, animal shelter vet tech/dog behavior geek here (with a dog reactive small dog) 👋🏾
Reactivity is a spectrum. I love that you are trying to give Juno some peace/ have him be less stressed 😊 please make sure your training is working to conditioning Juno with positive things around his triggers (he doesn’t need harsh corrections).
He needs to know that the things that bring him anxiety are not as scary as he thinks.
I’ve seen too many dogs become worse and end up at the shelter with training that focuses on primarily “correcting” problem behaviors. Things that helped me and my reactive dog 1. Engage/ disengage for a distance 2. Food scatters 3. Positive Conditioning! (We went to a dog park and sat outside at a distance and worked on keeping him under threshold)

He clearly delivered! Also, I was watching your "Get to Know Me" video and you stated where you would try to give advice to anyone in a science major. I am a junior in college studying physics and I would like to know if you have any studying tips for both math and science courses. I am trying to find a new way to study amid a busy schedule, especially since I just recently started back school since winter break ended. Thankfully, the word load has died down a bit, but it is still a lot.
