I had to google who is that Fiala, firstly I thought they mean some Czech player when they said that name in TV because it's obviously Czech surname, even our prime minister is Fiala. 😀
I liked their hug and hand shake after Czechs won gold. Swiss team was very honorable and these two looked like they know each other while talking in the hand shake line.

Its just not as common. If you know someone personally you call them by their first name. Thats just friendly I guess 🤷Here in Germany we only call athletes by their last name for example in soccer bc then everyone knows who we mean. And if there is someone you have to respect like elders or your boss you always say Mr/Mrs and then the last name

David Pasta is Czech guy... Kevin Fiala is from Switzerland, but his grandmother is from Czech Rep.. So that is why they speak togather by Czech language. :) :D

Kevin Fiala speaking five languages is insane, he speaks French, German, Czech, English and Swedish. As a Swedish guy myself I´ve seen some interviews of him speaking the language and it sounds really good. He speaks that better than he does English lol. I know his wife is from here (Sweden) so I guess he speaks it at home all of the time.
