    Great review!! I would like to ask if the mesh is durable. I am going to buy a shoe which I must use for at least 3 years(because my country's currency is so weak, I cannot afford another pair in that time). I am not a professional-long distance runner, so sole deformation is not very important for me, but mesh deformation is. I cannot wear a shoe with holes on it :/ I need some comfortable running shoe with an enduring layer on it.

Cara, custo benefício do Nimbus é fantástico, durabilidade fora do comum. Nada a reclamar. Nimbus é o tênis da minha vida. Longão, trilha, estradão, asfalto, pista, calçamento, onde vou o Nimbus me atende. Venha de Nimbus vc Tmb, vem !!!

      Run Like Heller Ha. No, I really don’t need pull tabs on my running shoes. Call me old school, but I’m fine with unlacing them as my go-to to get my foot in. Anyway, you make a big deal about the weight and, at the end of the day, pull tabs only push the weight in one direction!

    If you ever have a chance to try a 361 Degree shoe, I think you'd find them better designed than ASICS. They feel like they have the consistent firm ride of an ASICS, but without the plastic and overbuilt uppers. All of their buzz on RSG is always positive and they are seriously underrated! I've saved a spot in the rotation for their trainers even with all of these great options from other brands.

    good review.. I think this shoe is for your marathons and above..not for your runners who go up to half marathon at most..for runners in South Africa, this is a great shoe as many of us do long longgg runs in preparation for comrades.. minimum 600 miles from January to may ..comrades is in june.. canceled this year due to covid..I previously ran in the nimbus 20 and I got around 500 miles in them.. very durable.. just got the the 22... hope it goes well.. I use a light maxed trainer for short runs..parkrun etc..

    Thanks for the review! I have Ascis GEL-Nimbus 20 and im not using them atm becouse its a bit too cold outside (barely above freezing temperature), so im forced to use my second "winter" shoes Asics GEL-Pulse 9 GTX, but it has like zero cushioning compared to Nimbus, and i dont really like that. Im probably going to wait until spring, then buy new daily trainers. I am leaning towards GEL-Nimbus 22 or GEL-Nimbus Lite (want to try them both before buying). Overall im satisfied with Nimbus 20 and from what i heard from you lovely youtubers, Nimbus 22 is even better. Im doing steady 35-40 km per week with 05:15 - 05:30 min/km tempo on average. I have only 1 (silly) question: Why do people want pull tab? :D What's the point of it?

    • @RunLikeHeller
      @RunLikeHeller  4 года назад +1

      Sebastijan Dragar I think my main reasoning behind wanting a pull tab comes from previously being a triathlete and needing one in the transition area when putting my shoes on. But I would definitely take a look at the Nimbus Lite! Supposed to be a little better than the 22 (lighter, bouncier). Thanks for watching!

    I'm currently in the tropics and I've got to say that from my experience the Asics uppers are not very accommodative to the heat & humidity. Racing-ish uppers like the peg turbo 2 are amazing however. Maybe my comment will help someone else down here? Idk.

    • @RunLikeHeller
      @RunLikeHeller  4 года назад

      BRSH I can see where you’re coming from on that. Some ASICS are maybe slightly better than others- but overall there are probably better options for those conditions in other brands.

    Asics evo ride in the future? Good review, for $150 Asics needs to be more innovative. Instead of calling it the Nimbus to me seems more like the relic imho.

    • @RunLikeHeller
      @RunLikeHeller  4 года назад +1

      The Evo Ride is on my radar! I definitely see your point about innovation, for sure. I just know this shoe will last forever so I feel like it might be worth the buck. But again, I totally get what you're saying. However, I think ASICS will be bringing the heat in 2020! Thanks for watching, Owen!!

    • @owenlindley8014
      @owenlindley8014 4 года назад

      @N F Imho for $150 there are better options with better cushioning. Nothing against Asics as the glide ride is one of my favorite new shoes. I think ones perspective on the type of running shoes they prefer is based on many factors ie: age, injuries, body type, etc. So innovation is a very good thing imho, as a one type of shoe mentality will leave allot of potential runners on the sidelines. While a younger runner with great form probably needs little cushioning or innovation in a shoe, a older runner with worn out knees will have very different needs in a running shoe to stay injury free and to keep moving. Imo innovation actually gets more folks up and moving as they can find a shoe that works with their needs and circumstances, improving overall health, reducing pain and repetitive injuries. Imho.
