I dont think Mungias got the chin to execute that traditional style tbh... nor the arm length for an effective jab at that weight...I think hes been better when he did commit to more head movement & footwork. To his credit he does throw bombs & sick body work
Great breakdown!
Especially highlighting how he's incorporated a step-back and a pendulum step. Along with him having a solid fundamental jab and a good straight, it presents a different challenge vs. someone like a Benavidez. Boxer-puncher vs. Pressure Fighter is always must-see TV!

I’ve always liked Munguia and I thought with some great fights under him to get the experience and reach the elite level he could of beat Canelo but I think he took this fight way too early in his career. I still don’t count Munguia out in this canelo fight and if loses I think it will teach him a lot and he will go on to be a great champion.
He does have over forty fights. Should be ready except like most Mexican fighters. He fought a lot of club fighters. To build his record up.

Great breakdown. I see Jaime as just another one of Canelo's cherry picks who doesn't have much of a chance right now because he's still somewhat premature for this level.

This will be the last Canelo fight I buy intil he faces DB. I know he has all the belts but I still can't bring myself to call him undisputed when he did not beat inside the ring the man who previously held the mighty green belt.

Not really. Munguia is hard to hurt and he keeps up a crazy pace for all 12 rounds. It is no secret Canelo slows down after the halfway mark of the fight. If he doesn't hurt Munguia enough to ward him off then he might be fucked by the end of the fight
@@sammyboy2987 I mean yea but we have seen what it takes to stop Canelo and as we know styles make fights but in my opinion this style will be easy for canelo to deal with if you want to beat canelo you have to outbox him that is his weakness canelo is very strong on the inside so therefore canelo by stoppage round 8
