    I do enjoy your channel - refreshingly free from tedious minutes of B-roll fluff. Keep 'em coming ESM, and thank you for the advice here.

      Thanks for the feedback, I try to keep B-roll to a minimum unless showing off how something actually works. In this case it was not needed.

      I'm so happy I got the Telegizmo 365 when I did, significant piece of mind when I want to turn in for the night and not have to unplug and pack up everything when I tired. The SkyShed POD observatory takes this to a whole new level but the price tag was 10x as much so for most people the larger observatory is not feasible where as this bag is.

    Nice video, just bought one of these, great cover, but there is an A4 sheet in the bag that specifically says not to turn the cover inside out as it will damage the solar lining, it will also void the manufacturers warranty. Thought I'd just mention that as mine has just arrived and I just read this A4 sheet, I thought I'd just mention this as after watching your vid the other night it made a reference to turning the cover inside out.

    • @EmberSkyMedia

      Thanks Andy for the clarification, when I got mine there was no A4 sheet advising me of this fact.

    I picked up a used telegizmo and cover my 200pds on a pier never let the water in yet had a few years now (uk) the only thing I would say is put some sort of padding on the tip of the scope mines starting to fray the silver inner cover other than that it’s good and would recommend, just remember to let the air flow underneath and let it breathe

    I've had mine for over a year on two rigs and I'm very happy with with both.
    In regards to the silver part... i believe that's the radiant barrier. I don't think it would matter on which side its on. It should still keep the temps stable underneath the cover.

    • @EmberSkyMedia
      @EmberSkyMedia  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for the input on the radiant barrier. I’ve seen their solar cover which has it flipped (but the other side is black) so that’s were my thinking comes from.

    This looks great and something I could do with! Will this be ideal for camping with my astrophotography setup? What's the waterproof rating? In highlands of Scotland I've seen extremely heavy rain that soaks you in a few seconds and downpours that last for a full 2 days so would this keep gear 100% dry? Would this fit into backpack say 70l size?
    Something like this would do as long water doesn't get through.
    Within few weeks I'm camping and I'm ready so when I get 2nd covid vaccine that's me I'm camping. One thing is this suitable in strong winds say one night it got cloudy and then put it over setup and then strong winds started. I know the Cairngorms national park gets very strong winds duren winter and early spring so I just need to be careful!
    Recently I tested the Pixel 4 smartphones astrophotography mode in dark location and WOW believe the hype it's all true as I did one night wild camp.
    This looks very good so I'm interested in this.
    Thanks for sharing buddy and stay safe!

      Great Questions.
      1. I'd trust this bag in a heavy rain storm but I'd be sure to tighten around the bottom as much as possible or even stick a blanket or something to cut down mositure from rising up (some people suggest a lamp). Its well made but I'd also suggest you check from time to time for any cracks in the seals if you are doing heavy use (you can repair using tent sealant material but mine has so far not required any fixes). If wind is an issue I'd recommend using the supplied bungie cord to wrap the bag as tightly around the gear as possible to avoid it turning into a sail but ultimately if you are very top-heavy you'll need to use your best judgement.
      2. It will fit in a 35L dry bag (I just tested and posted the result in the community tab - ruclips.net/user/postUgwzBUIyiZ_2bUtsBud4AaABCQ)
      3. Yes the new smartphones are becoming crazy capable, I have yet to test the latest androids (iPhone camp currently) but I've seen some very nice photos from friends while they are out camping.

    Hi there. Thanks I live in Australia - just ordered mine expecting it next week. Did you ever find out if Telegizmo warrant the product if you flip it inside out? Also - do you use a desiccant packet / bag as a bit of moisture protection?

    • @EmberSkyMedia
      @EmberSkyMedia  2 года назад +3

      After some further study, it’s likely not the best idea to flip it inside out.

    • @brentonrasheed384
      @brentonrasheed384 2 года назад +1

      Thanks @@EmberSkyMedia - I get your logic, the reflective part facing the outside., but I expect it’s like cooking aluminum foil,
      It will limit long wave radiation I guess. Presumably there’s some insulting material there? And you don’t leave any desiccant/ moisture absorptive material inside when you go for longer storage periods outside ?

    • @EmberSkyMedia
