Nice overview, gave me insight to prepare for my press. I will say to anyone assembling one, put the head onto a table and lean the stand about 45 degrees to meet up with it. Then angle and slide the head on and then stand the whole thing upright.
Wear gloves while you clean both ends of the tapered arbor with acetone and a lint free cloth or wipe. There can be no grease or dust on tapers. Open chuck jaws by hand before tapping it on the short end of the arbor and use your work bench so that when you knock it on, it doesn’t flex. Clean inside the spindle with acetone. Don’t touch the MT (Morse Taper) end as you fit it into the spindle. Turn slightly until you feel it drop up into spindle. Give it one good wack with a brass hammer or a dead blow hammer and you’re done.
Yeah the background noise and the quality of the audio recording is terrible. Apologies for that, still learning what works and what doesn't! This is a definite doesn't work.
Thanks for the review! Looking at getting this or the viking so great to be able to see you go through the stuff I was worried about.
Thank you! That makes the video worthwhile. 👍
Great review of the setup!

Ha ha well there's a great idea I didn't have 😂 Yes that's a much better way of doing it. Thanks.
Please do a full review.. thanks
Hi amazing drill press. Would love to see a review off your axminster sliding table saw

“Music” in the background is terrible and distracting.
Yeah I agree. Was nice when I was working but after editing it's just annoying.
