    Time to wash every towel I own again. Since we had the older Whirlpool open, of course we washed the whole load with the cabinet off. And of course there's a whole lot more to see with the cabinet off, some really cool stuff especially later on in this video.

    If the drain pump sucks in air while washing would the washer overflow if you put the end of the drain hose under water? Hmm...things to ponder.

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад

      Yes, in fact I had that happened once in testing when I first got the newer machine! Now it's twice protected not only with an air gap that I added, but also a one-way valve.

      You should look up the "making of" video of that intro. You'll crap the bed. No HD, no digital effects, everything done completely in an analog nature, and yet it's more awesome than you ever dreamed possible.

    If there wasn't as much dirt on the top of the outer tub, you would really be able to see suds building up. When that pump makes suds, boy does it make suds.

    Something you could do is put it into spin, and if its balanced, put your hands on the tub ring and move the tub around, its so weird.

  • @kendall8500

    Wouldn't it be real cool if you replaced the outer tub with like plastic see through kind

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад

      It would have to be special made for it, with a center hole that would accept the seal, plus another hole where the drain pump attaches. I've told you this before, you can dream all you want but most of those dreams are absolutely impossible to achieve for any non-exorbitant amount of money.

    Washing a lot of towels in that washer could break agitator

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад +1

      Unlikely to break the agitator. Possibly could wear out thew agitator dogs faster, but those are under $5 and take 5 minutes to replace.
      If the machine is severely overloaded there is a chance of breaking the motor coupler. My mother-in-law did that already, and I had to go over and replace it. Video ensued: ruclips.net/video/3bYJiN3Z3Sc/видео.html

    Why do you add the powder on top of the clothes?

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад

      I have no rhyme or reason for doing it that way. I remember my mother used to, but that's no good reason why either. I know you're not supposed to--they say the detergent on top of the clothes can harm fabric. Then they say you should add detergent first and start filling the washer while adding the clothes, but by doing that you have a super-concentrated solution (until it fills up), which in my opinion would be more damaging.

    How come both Machines always fill up slow and can you do a wash day where u have the other washer Naked?

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад

      I have low water pressure here, it's just fact-of-the-matter. When you then split that two ways, you decrease the flow.
      The other machine might be naked soon...

    • @biggysmoovemusic7777
      @biggysmoovemusic7777 7 лет назад

      Oh ok and when you us either one of the machines, it fill up faster or is it same?

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад

      Yes it fills faster. There's only one machine using the water instead of both so the pressure is greater.

    • @biggysmoovemusic7777
      @biggysmoovemusic7777 7 лет назад

      Also how come the newer machine takes a while to switch cycles like when it switches from Wash to Drain?

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад

      Each machine's timer is programmed differently. xjoe81x's Kenmore takes almost 2 minutes to go and do something. It's just how the cams and lobes on the timer were "programmed", I have no idea why it is the way it is.

    Do you prefer liquid or powder for soap?

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18  7 лет назад +2

      Powder, by far. Back around 10 years ago (actually maybe more) they started messing with the liquid detergents and made them "2X". They claimed they stopped watering them down so much and now it's twice as concentrated.
      The problem was, they told you to use half as much, and made the bottle half as big, and claimed it would last the same loads. I call BS. It never was 2X, you have no way of knowing or finding that out as a consumer. So they told you to use half as much, made the bottle half the size, but DOUBLED the price because it's twice as strong. Does that make sense, for a product that's supposed to last the same number of loads? Right, it was a game all along.
      There are certainly inert ingredients they can put in powder to "thin it out". But with the powders they simply didn't play that game.
