Stayed in the Amalfi Hills in May 2017. Our AirBnB was exactly 1,000 stairs from the port (beach). We did it twice a day, by the end of the second day we were kicking our legs in neutral and running down them haha. Awesome channel, I’ll be back in Italy in February 2020, this gets me stoked.

You are right about walking down steps. I walked down 20 stories and my calves were on fire for 3 days.

When you get to Ravello, there's no public car access and you'll most likely get dropped off at the tunnel. Call your villa or hotel and see if the offer a buggie to take your luggage. I had to tow along my luggage, 2 speakers, & turntable up a similar trek to Villa Cimbrone. I thought the walk was never going to end & I literally almost broke down haha.

Krispyshorts yeah, when you get to the village they won't let you in with the car. You'll have to park it on one of the streets before that.

Not to destroy a dream but I think Castles were a modern villa built in neo-gothic style in the end of 1800 or principle of 1900. The real thing was the squared Watch Tower that controlled coast preventing Moors pirates landings. 😀😎😘
