    That M10 motor can’t be killed
    I try everyday

    Driven very well. 👍Unfortunately, fewer and fewer people know what it takes to drive an old analog racing car around the ring at this speed.

      No sensors, no assists, just you a steering wheel, shifter, and three pedals.
      I will forever love this style of driving more than any new digitised vehicle.

      Thanks. There is nothing better than 0% ABS, 0% Power Steering, 0% Traction Control, but 100% You ... Cheers

      @@DoctorCarLove My brother had a 1975 Fjord Blue E10 2002. If I was old enough, I would've had him give/sell it to me, but I was just a kid.

    Lovely just lovely 😍... question is it normal for the shifter to be moving in and out of turns

    • @DoctorCarLove
      @DoctorCarLove  Год назад +2

      Lateral G-forces are extreme at the ring. I've learned to change out the gearbox/engine mount every season the hard way. This was 3/4 through the season ... Cheers

    Nice drive Carlo, the sideway movement of the gearlever from left to right through the corners still worries me, are the engine mounts and gearbox mounts that soft?

    • @DoctorCarLove
      @DoctorCarLove  Год назад +4

      At the ring the oem mounts for engine/box are the best. Poly/delrin/solid gets blown to piece due to the extreme g forces out here (ask me how I know this). I change out the mounts every season. The woble of the shifter now is caused by the foam in the rod joint to the selector that needs changing out too. Cheers

      @@DoctorCarLove Condor plastic are worth a look, I run the AKG shifter with Condor plastic engine and trans mounts in an endurance road racing 74 Tii and they handle weekends of double 8 hr races, so with practice 20 hours of hard lapping in a weekend, hitting curbs etc like you are. Shifter does not move under cornering.

    Like your driving skills Carlo using the close ratio 5 speed. What is your LSD ratio? My 02 has the dog leg c 3.45:1🤙

      Thanks David. My LSD is a 3.45 too. Sharing is caring. Cheers

      Opening the triangled side window is a great workaround/spoiler to push the door back in place above 200kmh haha
