This song was written when Edge (the guitarist) was going through a divorce during the recording of the album Achtung Baby. ‘The Fly’ is a real energetic rock song from that album if you want more.
Love this song and the lyrics. One of the most under-rated U2 songs. We crossed the line Who pushed who over? It doesn't matter to you It matters to me We're cut adrift But still floating I'm only hanging on To watch you go down, my love
Pretty much all of U2's lesser known stuff is their best stuff. Literally ANYTHING from Achtung Baby, just skip One, Mysterious Ways and Even Better... They are too well known. Songs.... Zooropa, Numb, Lemon, Dirty Day, Magnificent, No Line on the Horizon, Exit, Heartland, Hawkmoon 269, One Tree Hill, Running to Stand Still, Every Breaking Wave, Sleep Like a Baby tonight, The Troubles, A Sort of Homecoming, Red Flag Day, Summer of Love, Wire, Wake Up Dead Man, Do You Feel Loved, Gone, Please, Drowning Man, Two Hearts Beat as one, OUt of Control, Electric Co (Those last three are sort of well known) Enjoy!! - Also, with U2, the live concert version is a MUST. No on touches them live.
@@CanadianReacts the song "Bad" is an excellent song. Studio version or the more popular Live Aid version. Their Live Aid performance is what helped put in the world spotlight.
Good song good sir. Crashed a wedding once and ended up getting very drunk with bono probably about 17 or 18 years ago. Turned out he was attending the wedding of his kids nanny at a hotel a few miles from where I grew up.
@@CanadianReacts I live in place where their is a lot of tourists hanging around, fortunately in some ways. So in turn, a few famous people came to check the place out over the years, like Mel Gibson, Steven speilberg, George lucas, Madonna etc. The quite man was filmed not to far away, so John Wayne and Maureen O'hara were around here back in the day.👍
@@CanadianReacts " Ok they wrote a great tune called " North and south of the river " its a song about the river liffey that flows through Dublin they never released it and ended up giving the song to an Irish folk artist called Christy moore you can view it in youtube they only played it once live for the late late show in ireland in 1998
@@CanadianReacts " yes they felt Christy would do a great version so they gave it to him and he plays it every tour but do watch the version live from 1998 it was a tribute to the victims of the Omagh bombing in N.ireland that took place that year sadly 29 Lives where lost "
Hands down, probably one of U2's best songs...period!! Adam & Larry laying down just the nastiest rhythmic grooves...freaking addicting!!
Lyrical masterpiece.
thanks Pat, I wasn't sure it would get up because of copyright but it may get removed if it's in violation of their publisher.
Love this song! First time I heard this album in 92 this song jumped out at me! Defiantly in my top 5 U2 songs. HUGE U2 FAN!!!
Thanks Jennifer, yes they sure have stood the test of time. I appreciate your comments.
My favorite song on this amazing album !!!!!
thanks Johnny, the U2 catalogue is so deep I could do a reaction channel on them alone.

Thanks for writing I hope to get to more soon.

We crossed the line
Who pushed who over?
It doesn't matter to you
It matters to me
We're cut adrift
But still floating
I'm only hanging on
To watch you go down, my love
I'm only hanging on to watch you go down, my love. ❤ Love this entire album.
Great lyrical masterpiece
Between the horses of love and list we are trampled...underfoot. might be the best lyrics ever.
As you can tell I haven’t had a response to this video in a while
love this song
Thanks Bruce, they’re always great

This is a great list!!! Thanks a lot.
Awesome song. Even more of an awesome song if you've ever escaped from a one sided manipulative relationship.
I guess I should try some very early U2 like from “Boy”

+Reaction fan this is an awesome suggestion. Did Christy Moore release it? I don’t want to get ahead of myself. I hope So Cruel gets some views.
