लोकसभा चुनाव के नतीजों के बाद झारखंड में भाजपा आदिवासियों को और आजसू कुड़मियों को साधने के हर संभव प्रयास में लगी हुई है, झारखंड में आदिवासी 26 फीसदी के साथ सबसे प्रभावी मतदाता वर्ग हैं, जबकि लगभग 16 प्रतिशत की आबादी वाला कु़डमी समाज झारखंड की राजनीति में दखल रखने वाला प्रदेश का दुसरा सबसे मजबूत मतदाता वर्ग है. हालांकि कुड़मी समाज का दावा है कि उनकी आबादी राज्य में 20 से 25 प्रतिशत तक है.
बहरहाल, झारखंड में किसी भी पार्टी या फिर कोई भी गठबंधन सत्ता में वापसी तबतक नहीं कर सकती जबतक उन्हें आदिवासी प्लस कुड़मी वोटरों का एकमुश्त आशीर्वाद प्राप्त ना हो. अब चलिए मेरे साथ आज ठीक पांच साल पहले 2019 के झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव में. उस चुनाव के नतीजों की समिक्षा होती इससे पहले यह बात भाजपा को समझ आ चुकी थी कि रघुवर दास के कार्यकाल के कई फैसलें ने भाजपा से आदिवासियों को बहुत दूर कर दिया है. भाजपा से आदिवासियों की नाराजगी का नतीजा यह हुआ कि 2019 के विधानसभा चुनाव में भाजपा आदिवासीयों के लिए आरक्षित 28 रिजर्वड सीटों में 26 सीटें हार गई. तोरपा से कोचे मुंडा और खूंटी से निलकंठ सिंह मुंडा भाजपा के दो मात्र विजयी उम्मीदावर थे जिन्होने दो आदिवासी सीटों पर किसी तरह भाजपा की लाज बचाई थी.

Babulal, the supremo of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha, was a great means of appeasing the tribal voters, but with time he was getting weak. Therefore, within a year of BJP's defeat, Shah merged his party with BJP. It was almost decided on that day that Jharkhand BJP will move forward on the path of tribal politics, while its alliance partner AJSU will expand itself in the politics of Mahato caste and will strengthen the alliance by 24 and contest the elections together.
Initially, according to this plan, BJP and AJSU had to prepare together for the assembly elections of 24. Preparations began. There were continuous yatras along with Sankalp yatras. Time passed and gradually many such events took place in Jharkhand due to which the strength and influence of BJP-AJSU seemed to be fading on its own vote bank. BJP had to face the consequences of the displeasure of the tribals again due to Hemant Soren's jail visit and the politics of Jairam Mahto, a 29-year-old boy who emerged from the womb of language and Khatian movements, shook the core vote bank of AJSU.
