America needs to set its standards higher for presidential candidates to run for the office of president. A bipartisan commitee of equal numbers of both parties should determine if a presidential candidate is qualified to run for office based on the policies they would implement if elected. Presidential candidates would be required to present there policies to the bipartisan commitee. The commitee would determine what policies are good and what is not acceptable. The candidates would then change their intended policies to be accepted by the commitee. Upon acceptance the candidates would be allowed to run for president. That way you don't get a presidential candidate with a bunch of policies that are not good for America: lack of oil independence, lack of border control, illegal immigration, a unprepared military to keep America free from its enemies, high inflation, high unemployment, high food prices and high gasoline prices.
