Looks cool but I have questions about the analog stick. If you are supporting the 3D Control Pad that the SEGA Saturn uses then you need two analog triggers to with it (yes they were analog). Also if you are supporting Sony PlayStation games you need dual analog sticks for the games that support it. Basically it doesn't really have a whole lot of benefit outside N64 usage if it is just 1 analog stick.
Having one analog stick works for all Racing Wheel games on Saturn (bigger support that the 3dpad) and Mission Stick (most games don't use the thruster axis), and also all N64 games as you said Having two analog sticks and triggers would be cool, but Having one stick is already very helpful
I hope that the developer of this device will start selling it... If he does, it will make him very rich. Maybe there are still plans to release the PORTABLE MISTER FPGA on the market? -$$$Think about the proposal!
@@emmettturner9452 To be fair there are about 100+ games that can use analog control on PS1 and games that can benefit more from it are games like Alien Resurrection or Quake 2 which supported Dual Analog, Also the SEGA Saturn has quite a lot of 3D Control Pad games but that has two analog triggers which was used for smooth camera control and acceleration and braking in games. If this is only 1 stick and no analog triggers then PS1 and Saturn are out and it is only useful for N64 which has less games than the PS1/Sat combined for their analog controllers.
@@ДмитрийОрабей-п5ж Indeed. There are about as many dual-analog N64 games using two controllers as there are games that “need” it for PlayStation. Obviously, none of those games “need” it. Single analog stick plus progressive triggers would even carry us into the next gen of FPGA clones if we ever get a portable Dreamcast. There’s always SNAC, USB, and BT controllers if we insist on more. On that note, it would be interesting to see one that uses real JoyCons.
Very nice build! You can use left or right inputs to move in pages when selecting cores and games.
Excellent! Can you make a second revision with secondary triggers - ZR / ZL aka R2 and L2 - and right analog stick for PS1 games?
Fantastic job!!! Thank you for sharing!

Vetrex and the Apple II Core also would use the Analog Joystick.

This can also do arcade games so the current config is fine for that.

This looks like a one-off Project rather than a mass produced product
He posted the project on github, so anyone can make it

don't think very rich
Mister is ULTRA niche already, and portable would be even more niche
@@iamdmc I think that the cheap clones in portable format could make it mainstream
why cant i buy this

we need 2 stick bro
For Ape Escape? There’s little else MiSTer can play that needs it.

Nah, for what? Few PS1 games actually use them
That being said, having two analog triggers would be cool for Saturn games compatible with the 3dpad

It’s useless to show us if you never release your files.
It shows it can be done
