I adore this woman so much, in each of her interpretations she gives her whole heart to the public. In an interview she stated that she feels very nervous before going on stage, and therefore she practices many times what she will sing, so that she achieves good results. And that is key! when she already feels sure of everything she will do on stage, she remains focused on giving her all, communicating with the audience, touching them and transcending the message, moving them! And boy does she achieve all that in all of her performances! And as you may have noticed, she is the one who directs the musicians and builds that roller coaster of emotions. Greetings from Peru

You are right. Alot of singers on youtube have great voices but cannot emote. They should sue their vocal coaches for not teaching them to show emotion and connecting with their audience. Most people listening to singers want more than technique and singing ability. They want to feel the music and be transported to a beautiful story the singer is trying to convey.
I wouldn't say that it's only the vocal coaches fault since a lot of it has to do with the singer's willingness to be vulnerable infront of crowds. Not everybody is ready, or even emotionally mature to do that. All of that being said, I too enjoy an emotional powerful performance over technical, but nothing beats a feeling when someone can do both like So Hyang!

Is it all about just high notes, sohyang is good but personally i felt none of what she sang. Morissette (especially) and Moira rendition, u can feel the song, they are worshipping and i'snt that really the point of this song. Or is it, high notes, oh what an angel, best version ever.. makes me laugh..
You have your opinion, but it wasn't just high notes and it was very very emotional as far as I'm concerned. But you're comparing two very different, both amazing singers. If you listen to this without comparison, maybe you would enjoy it a bit more :)

You have your opinion, but it wasn't just high notes and it was very very emotional as far as I'm concerned. But you're comparing two very different, both amazing singers. If you listen to this without comparison, maybe you would enjoy it a bit more :)
