I find it amazing that there are players out there with such talent and only a few people have ever head of them. A joy to watch and a joy to listen to....
You play that fiddle hard enough, you'll get all red in the face. An interesting thing is that in rickety old cabins in the Appalachian Mountains in the eastern United States, you might find a fiddle and some of the old tunes might sound awfully familiar. A lot of the people were Ulster Scots, you know. But you'll never see an accordion. You might run across an antique pump organ now and then, though.
Yeah a relatively young band...can't recall exactly, but something about the last years before the milennium change. was their debut...at the moment I was in Aberdeen, listening to them.. A band with skills indeed.However.....improvising and speeding the tempo, good as a joke,but..that's all. Slower tempo with huge emphasize has a far more compelling effect(listen to Shands early PMD records(10 " records) They remain never to be surpassed. Even not by today's topbands as Alli MacCuish,Tom Orr,Craig Paton,Gordon Shand and David Kennedy. Although they remain to the old fashion and not getting part of the "Celtic Confectionaries". Rest my case!!
Have just discovered you two wonderful musicians. What skill and joy you bring to the music😀🎹🎻❤️❤️
Fantastique !!! Merci beaucoup !!!
Gemma and Alan are superb musicians who are husband and wife now
