its official...i got a job as a kindergarten teacher! its been almost a month now and has been such a great learning experience and I have had so much fun with the kiddos! its so crazy to think there was a point in my life i was unsure if i made the right career decision, and now i can't imagine doing anything else with my life. taking you through a day in my life as a kindergarten teacher, from my first day to setting up my classroom and everything!

I give you so much credit for teaching kindergarten. I subbed for a second grade classroom ONCE and wanted to pull all my hair out lmao - that's when I knew that I was more suited to middle and high school - praise for all the elementary school teachers like you, I don't know how you do it

I’m a Pre-k teacher! 🤣 my parents said they don’t know how I do it. Then when I go home it’s noise again between my 3 & 8 year olds, give me grace! My spouse is annoyed of the noise but I’m immune to it all. Everyday I tell him he would not survive as an elementary teacher! Kudos to us elementary teachers. We’re patient and nurturers indeed!

The same thing happened to me!!! I student taught at the school I work at now. I was hired as a Kinder teacher in November and it’s just crazy to have my own classroom and kids😳 so happy for you🥳🤩

I just found your vlog! Congratulations on yout wedding and your long term sub job as a Kindergarten teacher! I have been teaching Kinder 5 years now and came from an early learing preschool background. You can do it and I appreciate you showing us your experience and vulnerability. Kinders will change your world but they are totally worth it! 👍😃

I loved teaching Kinder. Some cute things I did was they had an imaginary bubble in their mouth in hallway, so if they talked the bubble popped. They loved it and we always got class compliments. Lots of brain breaks (Go Noodle, etc.), bucket filling (made a giant bucket and we filled our class bucket with kind things we noticed about eachother), chit-chat chart (behavior system before our school wide behavior system-gave them chances before they had to possibly change color), video read aloud occasionally, etc. THE BEST grade to teach! :)

I did my student teaching in a kindergarten classroom and my mentor teacher used a red choice green choice chart. There's lots on Pinterest. And it worked really well with the kiddos, especially one kiddo with behavioural issues.
Kindergarten is definitely different than the other grades but they're so much fun to be around. Good luck!

I do the same with my premier protein. I call it meal prepping lol. I use five jars and pour a premier protein into each and then I top each jar with coffee and put them in the refrigerator. It's a nice grab-and-go breakfast ☺️.

Girl I am so happy for you! You are gonna be an amazing kindergarten teacher!! I completely understand where you’re coming from with the younger group. Kindergarten has always been my goal. I am student teaching in a preschool right now and I absolutely love it the kids are amazing but it is draining after a long day but it is so worth it. I’m very excited to finish out my semester and then hopefully get a job as a preschool teacher because I love it so much🥰 also I wanted to ask when should I start looking and applying for jobs? Like in preschools. I graduate in May

No they NEED to have structure to set the foundation. I taught prek spec Ed and they are fully capable.
i think it’s incredibly important to have structure and routine in place! that allows learning to be fun and productive
