I think instead of meterburns for specials it looks like using meter is for the khameos. You can see that the R1 button is on the khameo fighter portraits during the gameplay. Looks like meterless launchers and khameo meter kombo extenders!

@wrinkes if you watch closely you can see the meter burn effect on characters doing their combos for example scorpion using his hook mid air, so I don't think your right, also meter is shown in the gameplay demonstration and didn't go down after kameos were called in
juggling your opponents in mid air is what i initially fell in love with with mkx. really missed it in mk11 but im glad its back now. feels like coming home.
You could do it in MK11 as well, just not with every character like you could do in MKX
@@RoyArkon i just love how satisfying it was that you could launch someone with a neutral jump punch. mk11 dialed it really down and yeah it was possible with some characters but mkx's gameplay felt like smoking crack and snorting meth at the same time.
There’s always been juggle combos in every game with every character but I’ve never seen it with both opponents mid air that’s different in an amazing way
@@The_JadeRoze Actually it already happened before, it's called Air Kombat, it was the main mechanic of MK Armageddon from the 3D era. I was really shocked to see that mechanic coming back.

The transition from the Kharacter select screen to the match intro though 🔥
I really liked how some of the grabs/throws, and kameo moves had various camera angles like fatalities and X-rays do … adds some more depth to a 2D fighter … can’t wait for this to come out. Should be a very fresh and fun Mortal Kombat!

You can see in the character select that after they selected the characters it went into them clashing and then they started fighting. The clashing is the loading screen to the fight
It looks like the perfect mix of mkx and mk11’s gameplay with the classic character designs. Already pre-ordered as this game looks fantastic

I thought it looked awesome but honestly I don’t see much mkx inspiration in this. It seems to be pulling from 9 and 11 more than anything IMO cus X was like mortal Kombat on crack and run up 50/50 mix ups and this doesn’t look like that at all
You can tell they went the injustice route with pacing in this game but either way it looks good and there’s a lot of combo possibilities than we usually get so far
I love mk games since childhood and its a wonder seeing your reactions to every mk games😊
There is a small detail but in the arena selection meniu there s an option to choose from day and night I suppose which is incredible to have multiple lightnings for the same map

They kept my launch jump punch whiff dive kick combos. And launching with a up kick instead of spin i wonder how fast it is. That makes sense for his "i dont have a hat" lore until he gets it

Hold up can we talk about how Fighter game are popping off? We have Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and now Mortal Kombat! Fighting fans are EATING DELICIOUS! We got my boys Johnny and Kenshin in here! Sonya and Keno are here and they look great. The gameplay looks awesome. It’s look very fast, very stylish and smooth.
The thing I was a little let down by. I was sort of hoping they were want with a 3D Mortal Kombat. Give that another 3D Fighters a try. By 3D I mean such as Tekken, Soul Caliber, Dead or Alive and etc. cause out of the 3 only Tekken so far is carrying that metal. You know this is coming from someone that likes/play both 2D & 3D like games. I don’t hold one above the other. I don’t sleep on one and it would have been cool to see a 3D MK game.
But you know WHAT!? I’ll TAKE this cause this looks amazing MK1 let’s freaking GOOOO!

Was beyond stoked to see Kenshi's return, absolute favorite character of the franchise.
I’m calling it now, seeing the space on the side of the screen slots for cameo characters. There will be more cameo characters dropped with each DLC which is DOPE!! I’m hyped for this game man
This is really a step uo from 11 and love hiw kameo kharacters have supers and fatalities
Also kenshi is unecpected thought he qasnot going to make it in and HE IS NOT BLIND and looks very motivated
Hoping that the kameo stuff can be turned off I just want 1v1 modes
everything about this looks like a major improvement over MK11. Even if there's still a dash and not a run mechanic, you actually get juggle combos without meter burning (you can use scorpion's spear and combo without meter burn), no breakaway system, restand combo enders, etc. Also the character redesigns are so sick. Kenshi and Raiden look so good
Man I'm excited for this game! I love mkx but mk11 didn't quite do it for me and this looks like they're putting parts of them together a little bit, can't wait!

Kameos are older mk1 2 and 3 versions of the characters. So they can be main roster also.

The combo potential is going to be insane! (| wonder what people like you or Sonicfox will do😅 ) Especially with Kameo fighters that sounds so cool! I didn't see it live, but I saw the aftermath and it looks really good. I am surprised it looks like mk11 though. I thought they would've changed up the graphics, but the game still looks great! I'm pretty hyped for this release now. I wonder what the roster will be like.
If you look closely at the end of the gameplay that was shown with boon on stage, they're bring back low health fatal blows, probably being replaced by x rays

The graphics look sick , something that honestly makes a big difference actually seeing the fighters in the stage blood possibly damage over time on the character as you fight each round , and the fighting looks somewhat real as if the movement was revamped instead of sliding across the map all fast looking fake it looks as if someone could actually do the move IRL

Hey super loved your reaction. I want to comment on your response to the Kombos not using meter. That sub combo and scorpion combo when they went in the air didn’t look like they used meter. So that can Also mean that if it’s a long combo and meter less then the combos might not do a lot of damage and you have to involve your kameos to get high damaging Kombos.
