Arguably the best rendition of this song , or any Rush song for that matter, I’ve ever heard. The drummer hits every offbeat, accent, symbol/ride pattern, with the same flare and attack as Neil did. Ditto for the guitar and bass parts- and his voice is SPOT on! Electric!!
I played professionally for years in a tribute band. The odds of these 3 incredible top notch musicians who know every note of every song is one in a billion.
Just saw them on Saturday at the Levoy Theater in Millville NJ - I left there telling my buddy that was Geddy, I don't care what anybody says! lol These guys might just be the best tribute band of all time in terms of sounding like the originals. All 3 are top notch musicians and who else on earth can sing, play bass and keys all at the same time AND sound and move like Geddy? Masters of their crafts, mad props to the whole band! Thank you guys for doing Rush right!
I have been playing Rush for 40 + years, been in many tribute bands and heard a lot of tribute bands but you guys are the best I have ever heard!!!! Hands down!
These guys are the real deal outside of being Rush themselves. I got a chance to meet them and I'm humble! thank you for keeping the music alive for the newer generation to enjoy!
How does a band like this come together? Like how many things have to be in perfect alignment for this to happen? 3 guys who happen to be musically inclined, who like Rush, Like... a lot, can play like them, sing like Geddy, all live nearby and are like "Hey, lets start a rush tribute band, that is perfect...no exeptions...lol
Honestly, i'm surprised Geddy's voice could be matched so well with a falsetto. His singing is very strong, almost scream-like, and that is incredibly tough to reproduce. Awesome cover!
I've been a Rush fan for 39 years. You guys are the best tribute band I have ever heard. I know this song like the back of my hand. This is a dead bang spot on rendition. Congrats!! Love it. Rush on my fellow Rushians!
Literally laughed out loud when he started singing - in a good way! I cannot believe how much he sounds like Geddy. This is such a sick cover. Excellent musicianship and a reverence for the original. Just wow
OMG the singer is fantastic. What the...I mean seriously, I thought it's impossible to sing like Geddy especially with his 70's voice, man, you're brilliant.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone pull off a better 70's era of Geddy's vocals. Even Geddy himself can't pull off this material anymore. Just incredible. The whole thing is amazing. I second the Middletown Dreams request.
You're good, there's no denying it. I think it's safe to say, you have to give us the full Cygnus X-1: hemispheres. Just so I could die happy. Pretty please. I'm waiting..................
I grew up with rush and Canada I seen their first concerts with donbest the first drummer you guys are awesome Getty Alex and Neal would be so proud of you I'm sure they are. All I got to say is fantastic gentleman awesome unreal 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤔
Unbelievable!! I’ve been listening to Rush since I discovered them when Roll the 🦴s came out. They have been my favorite band since then as well. I was pretty torn up when they finally decided to call it quits...then I found Lotus Land. You guys are absolutely spot on. Every note, chord, kick, snare and cymbal. I’d say that you guys were Rush reincarnated except they’re still alive. If somebody was playing this video behind my back, I’d swear it was straight off Hemispheres. Don’t ever stop. And please do a video like this of Analog Kid.
My jaw is on the floor. With this power, precision, and mix; what I wonder would it take for this band to cover the entire Hemispheres album? A commission? I’ll pitch in if so. *Seriously.*
Possibly the best Rush Tribute band i have seen, excellent on very level, even vocals are great. Shame you are not in UK... would love to see you live.. THANK YOU,, and looking forward to more,
I was jamming along ..these guys are pretty frikn good..then dude started...When our weary world was young....holy crap!..I bout fell out me chair!!...I thought they were just playing the vocals from Hemispheres disc..lol....well done there Lotus Land
The hardest part for Rush cover bands to nail seems to be the bass+vocals combo. A lot of great bass players who can't pull of the multitasking or who sound nothing like Geddy. This guy nailed it.
Wow.. just wow guys. I was enjoying the music noticing the bass player putting in a few Geddy doubles in other spots but fitting very nicely. But when the bass player starting singing, I was floored!
Now that RUSH most likely won't tour anymore.....I would pay to see these guys play! Yes, I know, it is not the same but if they are doing a good job of keeping their music alive I think it is worth it!
For me, the song and the mixing is fantastic here in this video! I´ve suggested others classics with this structure, such as Subdivisions and among other dozens!
I must agree. From the compressed smack of the snare and toms to the vocal inflections, and the chorus/flanged Alex; these guys are as exciting to watch as the real boys. A difficult job well done!!! A+
Wow. these guys are fantastic. So good to see and hear Rush live music again now that Neil has passed and so did the band. Hope Lotus Land tours my local area. I would see them.
P.G.G. Music the truth is that, love it or hate it, Geddy does have one of the most unique voices in rock music. Unmistakeable and up until I heard Lotus Land, I had never heard anyone sound similar, especially from this 1970s period with vocals that even Geddy has not been able to reproduce for many years. Even Brody Dolyniuk Of The Las Vegas based band “Yellow Brick Road”, who can nail singers like Robert Plant, Roger Daltry, Klaus Mein, Elton John Ozzy Osborne, Freddy Mercury and so many others, cannot sound anything like Geddy when covering Rush. Brody is probably the best classic rock singer impersonator in the world and was contracted to record all of the vocal tracks for both Guitar Hero and Rock Band (those are all Brody’s vocals, not the original artists). On all of those tracks for the games, his Geddy Lee is the only one that sounds nothing like the original, all the rest are incredible. That’s just how unique Lee’s voice is/was. Chris is the first vocalist I have ever heard who really sounds like Geddy did back in the day. Even more impressive is how he can play the bass just like Geddy, no small feat in itself, and match all of the keyboard and Taurus pedal fills. To top it all off, he can also handle all of that live on stage. Didn’t think there would ever be anyone like that. I have heard so many Rush tribute bands with 5 or 6 members who still fail to accurately reproduce Rush songs, but Lotus Land can. Chris is the real key in this band. If they ever lose him, they become just another good Rush tribute band and no longer the Primo Rush tribute spectacular. He’s the cherry on top of the Rush sundae.
Holly Cow guys , you are AWESOME !!! Love that you respect every note and ejecute it perfectly clean , and yes , the voice sends me back to that same record Hemispheres . Congrats guys you just earned 1 more follower . Thanks for sharing this beauty .
Keep the flame alive, gents! If you ever play Michigan I'm gonna be there with gusto. I may have to arrange a trip to Massachusetts to see you play when I visit my nephew in Boston.
I am truly speechless!!!! That is beyond one of the most amazing things I have seen and heard. WOW!!! I mean WOW!!! "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". I hope those boys (RUSH) have seen you guys. Damn all the RUSH fans for only getting you to 13,000 views. This video should be generating tens of thousands...
that was truly incredible, from getting that special start sound fading in over your perfect playing with everything in place and then the singing starts and I just sit here with a huge smile on my face - great stuff guys
Blows my mind how amazing this band is. This is the best version i have ever heard on this chanell. I have watched hundreds of rush tribute bands These guys are by far the best you will ever hear. I have been following rush since i was 15 years old guys. I turn 59 years old on july 8th in 3 more days. Need i say more.
WOW this is the 1st time i heard your band and am now listening to other videos of yours. I am 60, a musician for Piano Keyboards and Guitars, saw RUSH a good 21 times and YES you are by far THEE best RUSH cover band out there. If you ever come to the Bay Area of California i want to see you.. Thanks for your dedication guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is an UNBELIEVABLE band.
Impossible to believe they are not Rush!!!!
This is undoubtedly the best Rush tribute band
It's almost like Alex, Geddy and Neil invited you over to watch them jam.
Arguably the best rendition of this song , or any Rush song for that matter, I’ve ever heard.
The drummer hits every offbeat, accent, symbol/ride pattern, with the same flare and attack as Neil did. Ditto for the guitar and bass parts- and his voice is SPOT on!
Electric!!
Just remarkable how true to the original this is! Somebody please send this to Alex and Geddy.
I played professionally for years in a tribute band. The odds of these 3 incredible top notch musicians who know every note of every song is one in a billion.
And here we are
Could not have put it better, these guys are superb!
I thought this was good until the dude started singing... HOLY CRIPES! He sounds just like Geddy in his prime!
Thats what i said too--OMG
It's like a trip back into the studio in 1977 right?
@@PNW_Sportbike_Life 1978
Singer reminds me of Kim Mitchell back in the day 😆
OMG Chris’s vocals are the closest to Geddy’s 70s voice I’ve ever heard! Bravo!
YES SIR! ABSOLUTELY!
wow that is spot on
The best
This group is so good that i hear there’s a Canadian trio that formed a Lotus Land tribute band. Drummer is quite good. Neil somethin or other.
😂
This guy's voice blew me away. My god.
+Nick Paternostro Thanks Nick!
Not just a cover. These guys play with power and conviction - like THEY wrote it.
I got chills when he started singing.
Man, I love to see RUSH's music treated with such commitment to accuracy...it is the largest form of respect and gratitude.
Yes - AND they corrected the always too low bass in Rush mixes, this is much better mixed than the originals (IMHO off course...)
I was so floored by the music I just realized the video is is in black and white.
I don't care how many times I hear this every time is mind blowing.
Best Rush coverband I´ve come across on youtube so far. Fantastic bass player!
he's amazing LIVE.
In case it was unclear, he did the falsetto on the second verse, and that's what I was referring to.

I've been a Rush fan for 39 years. You guys are the best tribute band I have ever heard. I know this song like the back of my hand. This is a dead bang spot on rendition. Congrats!! Love it. Rush on my fellow Rushians!
Thank you very much!
As a lifelong Rush fan, I can only say I can't believe how good that was!!!!!! Flipping awesome!!!!
I was never big on this album but this bands rendition made me revisit and truly appreciate what a
great piece of work this album is.
Saw Lotus Land last Saturday night. Almost as good as the real thing. Compensation for us broken hearted Rush fans , these guys rock
Fantastic - super tight. Best Rush covers are when the bass also sings! 👍👍
No one does it better and never will. These guys are the masters of tribute for Rush
Thanks Lucas, we appreciate it.
This is the best cover of hemispheres I have ever or will ever see.
Hands down the best Rush Tribute band on the planet NO ONE IS BETTER
I don't think I've ever heard anyone pull off a better 70's era of Geddy's vocals. Even Geddy himself can't pull off this material anymore. Just incredible. The whole thing is amazing. I second the Middletown Dreams request.
Wow!!!! Got to the vocals and couldn't believe my ears!!!! Everything is perfect......
You're good, there's no denying it.
I think it's safe to say, you have to give us the full Cygnus X-1: hemispheres.
Just so I could die happy. Pretty please.
I'm waiting..................
Definitely the best of all the Rush tribute acts!!
Wow, that's got to be the most faithful Rush cover I've ever heard! Bravo!
WOW... what an awesome replication of the world's greatest band Rush!!
Best vocal of Geddy I have ever heard no doubt about it.
Oh my fuck, what an awesome rendition!!

This blew me away...REALLY!!
After all these years still my number one Rush LP, never gets old and this is just brilliant.
And, I thought Rocky Kuner (female) was the only person alive who could sing this properly. I was wrong... Chris, you KILLED this!!!!!!!!!!
WOW !!!!! HOLY RUSH !!!!!! THAT VOICE !!!!!!!
These guys have the talent and good jobs to do the Rush tribute band thing right!!
I saw these guys over the summer they were fantastic

OMG...that's as close as it gets. Great job.
The hardest part for Rush cover bands to nail seems to be the bass+vocals combo. A lot of great bass players who can't pull of the multitasking or who sound nothing like Geddy. This guy nailed it.
Your Moms HAVE to be getting tired of this by now!
No, really, it sounds amazing, and I'm happy hearing one of my most favorite 'older' songs.
