The solution is to ban them from coming here in the first place because their beliefs are hostile to American values and laws. Why invite people who wish to undermine the West?? They are here for two reasons: they want to seize on Western prosperity and subvert and undermine Western society. If I hate communism, why would I move to a communist country?? Nap I see no problem with Christian countries not having Eid as a national holiday, as long as they do as we do in Kuwait & allow Muslims to celebrate and have the free time on their celebrations. For secular countries, like America and most of Europe, who separate church and state, the law should reflect the will of the people. So if the population wants Christmas, Eid, Hanukkah or Diwali, the country should vote on it and decide. As for a Christian theocracy, from what I know, the only actual Christian country that follows Christian law is Rome. They do not celebrate anything but Christian holidays & that is their prerogative.

While I'm not suggesting that Muslims should celebrate Christmas, I'm suggesting that there should be love and tolerance towards your brothers who believe in Allah yet choose to worship him in a different way. This is the meaning of Christmas. It isn’t radical or extreme to believe that God (Allah) deserves the basic respect of not justifying or reinforcing this belief. To say Merry Christmas is the exact same as saying congratulations for the birth of God or His son (depending on the flavor of Christian). So, I respectfully disagree. This isn’t radical, it’s respect for Allah, Who deserves more respect than anyone (Muslim, Christian or other). A radical would not even allow Christians to celebrate at all. I’m not against that. The American Constitution IS based on Christianity. It is not a non-religious document. However, it is amendable as the woman in this video indicates and the reason is that, as our knowledge of the universe expands, laws need to be adaptable. For example, the bible advises strongly against drunkenness and declares it a sin, but what about hard drugs such as LSD, fentanyl, cocaine, et. al.?? Those drugs had not even been invented in ancient times so laws based on Christian principles had to be created to outlaw the distribution and abuse of those drugs. Another example would be intellectual property. What if you invent something but then someone else steals your idea and sells it? Many Christians believe he was born early in the year, but that the date in December was chosen as a replacement for the pagan holiday Yule, which celebrated the birth of the sun and the lengthening of the days. It is funny because, despite my alias on here, I too chose the name Sharifa (because it has the same meaning of my birth name Alyssa). Yes, as a pagan teenager I mocked the Christians for their celebration, but through the mockery I also learned the history of how Christmas came to be. Unfortunately I married into a family that regards culture very much and have tried and failed to guide them down the right path. Some even take their kids to celebrate Easter of all things. I can see why some fall into the error of wanting to celebrate Christmas as nothing more than Isa’s (as) birthday, but I cannot make logical explanation for celebrating Easter.
May Allah SWT bless you for your efforts in Islam and your ability to teach us. May Allah SWT grant me the opportunity to study Shari’a.

Nap I see no problem with Christian countries not having Eid as a national holiday, as long as they do as we do in Kuwait & allow Muslims to celebrate and have the free time on their celebrations. For secular countries, like America and most of Europe, who separate church and state, the law should reflect the will of the people. So if the population wants Christmas, Eid, Hanukkah or Diwali, the country should vote on it and decide. As for a Christian theocracy, from what I know, the only actual Christian country that follows Christian law is Rome. They do not celebrate anything but Christian holidays & that is their prerogative.

This is the meaning of Christmas. It isn’t radical or extreme to believe that God (Allah) deserves the basic respect of not justifying or reinforcing this belief. To say Merry Christmas is the exact same as saying congratulations for the birth of God or His son (depending on the flavor of Christian). So, I respectfully disagree. This isn’t radical, it’s respect for Allah, Who deserves more respect than anyone (Muslim, Christian or other). A radical would not even allow Christians to celebrate at all. I’m not against that. Let them celebrate, but it doesn’t have to be a celebration for us as well.

If India says that they will not have the 2 Eids as public holidays, because the majority of their population is hindu, then I say "fair enough", and I don't bitch and moan about it like the christians are doing right now about Kuwait's Holidays. Tanya Nest nope. There are many understandings - I follow the understanding that the nicab is sunnah (extra blessings) not fard (mandatory). The majority of scholars state that the hands and face are sunnah to cover.
