I agree. So often women in hijab are portrayed as women who are uneducated, simpleminded and/or suppressed. On the contrary! And I think we, who wear hijab, must be out there, getting our voices heard and count (like you're doing, ma sha Allah), being ambassadors of Islam.
To those that are happy with uncovering and showing off their temptations, as they wish to be respected they're simmilarely supposed to be éducated enough to accept other humble sisters that obeyed to the teachings of the Creator of heavens and earth. Nowadays, people that are upon the truth require to be given the least basic rights and others enjoy the so called rights to harm and polute the society under laws against humanity.
الحمدلله رب العالمين (إنما يخشى الله من عباده العلماء) The more you are (enlightened), the more you are close to Allah by good words, good behavior and good deeds.
Thanks so much Ma'am. You are doing a very good job. How I wish some women understand that Allah orders us women to wear hijab. I thinks it's a must to wear the hijab. It's a true identity of a Muslimah. Salam
Well said, thank you. We need more videos of you speaking about the hijab and the real hijab vs the new style half naked dressed women with a head scarf calling themselves covered. جزاكم الله خير
What's interesting is that this extends to children in public announcements- people in the media in positions of power select to not represent girls who are covered... as engineers doctors etc
When Muslims consider the gains of this world a bigger thing and the aim of life, then Islam will become insignificant in their eyes. It will be just a matter of time, they will leave Allah's hukam (order) and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (sallalallah o alaehii wasallam) to fulfill the aims of this world.
I always pray to Allah, Hey Allah give us educated sister and brother who can uphold Islam and can reply to media . Amin. Sister I as a very sinful brother praying for you so that one day we can answer media
Hola! Your channel has become one of my faves! I am very lucky to count you among my close friends. I only just discovered you here a couple of days ago. This, in conjunction with the books and online investigations, is teaching me a lot. Thank you! 😘😘😘
It is so sad, even on Arabic tv shows, the women wearing the niqab and full hijab is portrayed as oppressed by her family, or husband, and the lady in a state of tabarujj is seen as the one having all the fun, this is sickening, especially since it is happening in some arabic shows. This is just so sad what people think proper hijab makes a women come too.
One of the most important legal and social rules in Islam is to "give testimony". Every member of the Muslim society is either "witnessing" something happening or "being witnessed" while doing something. Muslim women are active members of society. How can a Muslim woman fulfil her legal and social obligation of "witnessing" and "being witnessed" while covering her face?!
Stephen Burgess how does seeing my face change the contents of my mind or the expression of my testimony- you don’t have to see me to hear, understand or implement. Would it make you happier if I was uncovered giving an audio podcast? Would that make my words stronger?
The thing is you are preaching Islam, and the way you dress can be perceived - like it or not - as part of the process. Just make sure you are sending the right message. Islam - as I understand - is a way of life. The identity of all members of Islamic society should be known, otherwise the rule of "witnessing" and "being witnessed" will be extremely hard to apply. For example, if a couple of veiled women secretly committed a crime, how can the witnesses report that to the authority at a time their identities were covered?!! God only knows if they actually were women or men!!
Stephen Burgess wearing the veil is also a part of Islam. It was worn by the wives of the Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم and the majority of the female companions of the Prophet. It is a part of my message. Identity is more than the face. I wear my veil for Allah. I teach & Preach for Him & I do it in the best dress of the Muslim woman- the dress commanded as mandatory for the best women: the Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم ‘s wives : ‘... And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts. ...’ The word used is hijab & it was implemented by his wives covering their faces.
